- UPDATE 05/29/15: SEE MY NEW TUTORIAL HERE: • Paper Flower Backdrop ...
In my next series of tutorials, I will be showing you how I created a paper flower backdrop using things you probably have at home already. Each tutorial will cover one flower.
You'll need: regular copy/printing paper, scissors, a glue gun, and something to curl that petals with, such as a thin brush, chopstick, or pencil.
For written instructions, please go to my site:

I saw this last year and made the entire backdrop for my son's wedding. I was trying to upload a photo but having difficulty. I used white and purple satin, the photos came out great.

Hello, I was wondering where I can get the copy of the template to begin tracing the flowers?
Pretty much from all your tutorials?
Thankyou! Blessings to your channel :)
Fantastic job and very nice review
Hi new subscriber here. I love how easy and simplistic you show your followers how to create beautiful flowers out of paper. I plan to create my very first one using your tutorial. I will be sure to give you your proper credit. i have a question...are flowers suppose to be sparkly? because I'm planning to make the one that I'm wanting to create a sparkling beauty....
Hello! Thanks so much. It would look lovely if you use glittery paper or you can even use glittery spray paint after!
Thank you ...I like its. So beautiful and looks easy when you made it. ^^'
วลัยพร พยัคฆบุตร Thank you so much!
I loved this. I'm curious if this idea/size could be transferred for use as a hanging light with an LED or LCD bulb. Or maybe you have done this and can share a video tutorial on this idea. I am a new subbie today. Thanks for your creative inspirations. Lynda in Utah
Hi Lynda! Thanks so much for subscribing. I've never thought of doing that, but it sounds like a really cool idea! You can definitely scale down the flower. I've made some 2" ones before!
Thank you.... Beautiful!!
this is beautifulll... love it
thanks for sharing. It is helpful :)
Hi thank you for sharing this information. What kind of paper do you use for this flower??
bertha alicia Thanks so much Bertha! In the tutorial, I used regular printer paper, but I usually use cardstock. I recommend practicing with some printer paper first so you can get the hang of it. I like to buy these packs of cardstock from Michaels but only when they are on sale for $2. I don't recommend buying it if it is not on sale, because it is normally $5/pack. www.michaels.com/recollections-seaside-cardstock-paper/10293372.html. If I purchase cardstock from other stores, I prefer ones that are 60-70 lb paper. I have used some 110 lb paper but it is too thick.
thanks for all you beautiful flowers and tutorials Ash, you make it look so easy, can we do this with card stock as well? Julie
+Julie Ducastel hey Julie! Thanks so much! Yes! Cardstock is my favorite paper to use. I prefer 50 lb cardstock. Please check out this video where I use cardstock: ruclips.net/video/2rCXkv0V2r0/видео.html and I also have a video on the leaves!

Thats nice ... thanks for this idea
What kind of paper did you use?thanks this is awesome😊
Wonderful thanks !!
Hi, I wanted to know what kind of base I can stick the flowers on to make the actual back-drop asides from sticking it directly onto a wall...I know foam sheet is an alternative, is there anything else I can use?
Hi Nazia! My preferred method is to use the Command no-damage strips to attach the flowers directly to the wall. But if you don't want to attach it directly, you could glue the flowers to a foam sheet or fabric. I've also had some customers ask me to attach a wire to the back of the flowers so they can attach it to a gate/mesh
Hermoooso
when you use cardstock do you roll your petals first or after
love ur flower...can u teach me more?
Can you tell me what are the sizes of the petals pls. Love them !
Celsa Escalante Hi Celsa, I'm actually going to re-make a better version of my video tutorial and try to post up a template for the petals this week. Usually when I make my largest flower, the largest petal takes up one 8.5x11" regular copy paper sheet. I'll send you a message when my video and template are up! :-)
Celsa Escalante Hi! I just wanted to let you know that my new video tutorial is up and there is a link to download a template for the petals! ruclips.net/video/2rCXkv0V2r0/видео.html

Summer Pittman Hi Summer! In this video, I am using regular copy paper. I like to use cardstock normally, but regular copy paper works fine too! I recommend experimenting with regular paper first, so you get the hang of it. :)
Summer Pittman Hi Summer! My new tutorial is up using regular US letter size (8.5x11") paper! Here's the video: ruclips.net/video/2rCXkv0V2r0/видео.html
