What makes summer even more mind blowing is that her swimcloud power index, had she competed in high school with men's weights for her power index would translate to a 4.07 (Placing her 4th in the state of Florida on the boys side rankings and her performances would've made her good enough to commit to Stanford's men's team)
Agreed! Summer should break the 200 fly in 2026, and might take the WR in the 800m free in one of her lesser competitions. Taking nothing from Ledecki (who is the GOAT in middle distance), Summer has to swim 5 different events, incl 2 x IMs, which requires different turn angles, etc (I'm not a swimmer) - Katie 'just' does the freestyle. I am a bit concerned if she decides to do the 800 free in LA, because that would mean she would have to train up to a 1500m in order to "stay" with Pallister and Ledecki - would this take her focus away from her best disciplines?
If my check was accurate, Summer’s 800m free at age 18 is faster than Ladecky’s at same age and realistically she’s not really trained for it, yet. Every other event Summer swims is not a contest.
Hoping to get back into a more regular upload pattern, and there will probably be a lot of good stuff coming up with NCAA swimming starting back up soon!

That is an insane stat.
Reminds me Katie Ledecky swimming a 1650 in college that was faster than the Texas A&M men’s team record at the time
My takeaway from that is that the A&M men didnt have anyone under 15:00 i. The mile@TheSwimScribe
She's been making swimming so exciting :).
Loved this. Thanks for putting it together. Summer is amazing, her talent is the reason I watch swimming.
Good to see a new video Scribe, great job as usual 😎
Let’s gooo new post

it's not that unlikely that in a year's time she.could hold 6 world records at the same time... which is insane.
first comment out of the blocks summerine is a generational talent with lofty goals super proud of her drive focus and fearlessness
