Hello Courtney, thank you very much for this video. I really like that you worked with the markers a couple of times to explore what you can do with them before giving us the review. Also, maybe way too late, but perhaps some viewers find it helpful. I've discovered that paper for acrylic paints works AMAZINGLY for poscas. Like seriously. I think mine is by Eddings, but I assume other brands will work similarly. Suddenly it's a joy to let them gliiide over that paper, and the result looks smooooth. Also, the colours are even more vibrant. So yeah, for people who want to do a lot of posca art: give it a try. Edit: just tried the acrylic paint base coat, and oh my that works like a treat! And so much better than gesso, which in my experience always gives a sandpapery texture that my poscas don't like at all. Thank you so much for the tip. Also, to update my earlier comment: priming with acrylic paint also works pretty similarly to using the paper for acrylics. So for people who do a lot of posca art that might still be a more convenient (and probably more reliably smooth) option. But for everyday practice and doodles, I'm definitely going to use your idea. Thank you!
Yes, thank you! I always paint a thin layer of white gesso before using posca pens in my sketchbook. When I see people drawing on untreated paper I'm like ??? Why do you not love yourself??
I love your art this piece and all the ones you flipped through. It is exactly my cup of tea. I'm not a big fan of anime art or cartoon big eyes stuff. But this like real proportions but not realism rather this raw stylised artistic really hits the spot for me. Thank God I found you I watch so many art channels and so far you are definitely my favourite. It baffles me that you don't even 200 subs! I'm looking forward to your future videos.
THANK YOU!!! Gosh - seriously I’ve tried to google it and searched RUclips videos to find advice on how to get rid of that “pill”-y like texture. So - thank you lol. Lovely! Lovely work too. I really enjoyed seeing your sketch book 🖤 will be following
do you have a link to where you got that posca set? i tried finding it on amazon but I couldn't find one with that many colors for that low of a price.
was that josh dun and tyler joseph in your sketchbook?? 😭💖 your posca work is absolutely gorgeous!!! I am in love with your technique of laying down acrylics and then using the pens on top!!! 💖💖💖💖
Your art it’s amazing!,, I just discovered the posta pens, and I’m in love w them... but I’m trying to learn how to use it...thanks for sharing awesomeness..
Emi boi for the main speedpaint i used a wood panel, but the other paper i showed here was in a stillman + birn alpha sketchbook! (honestly any mixed media paper that has a layer of acrylic paint on it would probably work well). and in response to your other comment, thank you so much!! 💖
NO FUCKING WAY I WAS LOOKING THROUGH THE FUCKING POSCA TAG THROUGH INSTAGRAM AND FOUND YOUR INSTAGRAM BEFORE YOUR ART WHAT THE FUCK GREAT FUCKING REVIEW BUT IM JUST SHOCKED I FOUND UR ART BEFORE HANDHADJDGD

Also - I’ve been using marker paper (and I’ve heard Bristol paper works well) just because it’s so soon.
