Timing of bulb growth you gave is different from my observation. I got two big bulbs from a flower show nearby in Feb this year and I sowed them in march first week. I was surprised both bulbs gave 3 stalks of flowers and when I touch the bulbs they have hardly grown 1-2 roots. There isn't any leave, it went straight to flowering. I am letting it grow as it wants to for now.

I had left the bulb in soil only after last season. Didn’t wanter tho. Should I take out the bulb and repot?
You can if you want to multiply otherwise you can leave in same pot but start watering & fertilizing with phosphorus rich fertilizer
