This is a both heart wrenching and heartwarming low-budget fantasy love story with a “Love between Fairy and Devil”-vibe. It would have been a little better if there weren’t so many repeated scenes - and some better subs would have been nice too. Other than that I really enjoyed the production and the cast. SYNOPSIS - SPOILER ALERT!!! FL, a woman from the Fire Tribe, is forced to marry the God Pluto instead of her sister, who doesn’t want to marry a man that is said to be a cruel and violent man who has killed several concubines. On her wedding day she is terrified of what will happen if he ever finds out that she is a substitute bride. When he finally arrives, he suspects that she is the Goddess of Flowers but she is adamant in keeping her secret. Although he spends the night with her, they don’t consummate. The next morning she is asked to drink abortions-soup and pay respects to the head-concubine, since there isn’t a Queen selected at this point. And so FL starts her new life in the harem with a jealous and evil concubine that won’t accept anyone being near Pluto and gladly tortures whoever seems to be favored by him. But this FL is not that simple and neither is the connection between her and Pluto. Well, not spoiling too much, this has a happy ending.
I would recommend this. It's a cute love story. Kind of on the dark and hauntingly side. The male lead is way better than most husbands in these stories. His character is supposed to be like the devil or evil. But he's nothing like that. Even though he looks like it, he actually really loves and is sincere to his wife. There is no mistress, even though the girl in red seemed like one at first, but she isn't because the male lead is more interested in his wife than her. To be honest, at first, I thought we were watching their version or their portrayal of Beauty and the Beast. But different. Its nice seeing this hauntingly beautiful couple go through and jump over obstacles so they can be together.
A good story, and very original plot too! Good acting skills from all actors involved and the production is really high quality in every aspect. If the ending is a sad one, it will still be a good ending (a heart-wrenching one), but fortunately it's a happy ending. Love the perfect happy ending for FL and ML ♡
Interesting. Some of the concepts never evolved enough for me but it was still a great drama. Costumes were excellent except for the hand bone headdress that completely disappeared half end of drama. The male lead was the best. Female lead lost it for me at end with her eye movements

Ok, lots to say here. Absolutely recommended! I adore this actor. I much less adore this actress. She feels like she has about four facial expressions, all sort of weak and wimpy, so I don't find her entertaining in the least. I turned off the sound because this used a lot of music from Love Between Fairy and Devil, and I prefer to keep that linked to ONLY LBFD. The costumes are AWESOME! I must have taken 70 screenshots to get distance and close-up shots so I could examine them better (I have low vision). The makeup, esp on the evil queen's servant who looked a bit fishy to me (ha) was cool. Many of the hairstyles would have been totally ridiculous anywhere else, but in this they worked. The lighting really set the atmosphere. It also made the sparkly costumes even sparklier! You know those Hell Thing 1 and Thing 2 guys? I like the actor who played the one in black. Just can't recall what I've seen him in, but I got excited when I recognized his face. SPOILER SPOILER . . This was obviously a bit rushed due to length, but it hit enough of the highlights that it reminded me of several of the more professional productions, plot-wise (and had bits of similar or exact music from several of them, too) DOUBLE SPOILER DOUBLE SPOILER . . This is *quite a lot* like Love Between Fairy and Devil (with Esther Yu and Dylan Wang), but has elements of Ashes of Love and the variations of Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms. I know it is the same genre so has the same plots to choose form , but specifically I saw elements of those shows. . .
