Hey Rick before you make a video on how to do a repair make sure you don't have to remove something that you don't know how to remove such as that servile saver the 1st crew that you remove is a reverse thread screw that's wide wouldn't come off that's why you broke your tools you will just making it tighter
The plastic screw cap that protects the screw you’re referring to is clockwise but the one he struggled with is counter clockwise so yeah, I thought the same.
How do you like the stock servo? Just got it for my outcast EXB bulid. Great work man these things big It's like working on a small car. Big jump to 6S to 8S
Dre&Christina Howard yeah I didn’t have it either bind it to I think sr6200 the number that’s nearest it works. By the way u can bind it to the stock receiver the one that’s inside the Keaton 8s I redid the binding to the original receiver the number wasent In the menus but I did it to the closest one and it works
I recently got a kraton 8s and I wanted to change the servo for better response and speed what pinion and servo would you recommend for about 80-140.00 range
My K8S servo crapped out a week ago only had the truck 4 weeks. Started working intermittently then nothing. Had it at 6v only. Tried a new receiver, checked wires, nothing. Thing is a huge POS. Got a Savox 1/5 scale and the adaptor mount, working like it should've since day one.
Raymond J the out put gear it got sensor u see near twist it back and forth also took out the motor and let it run for 2 minutes it seems like it was stuck as well
Hi, I am brand new to RC cars. I took a hit in the front of my 8s and I have the exact same problem. What if I upgraded to a better servo? Would it work?
oh my gosh it hurts my eyes... u dont know how to...hopefully there is no one following what u did... thirst Things first to recalibrate the Transmitter(had the issue if i turned off AVC on Transmitter i also cant steering anymore) then to check out the Servo endpoints... sometimes can be happend the Servo will stuck cuz it cranked a bit to far...
enoZone I did calibration did all sorts of stuff before I took it apart but didn’t work checked all setting on controlled did rebind turned avc off swapped out reciever one without avc did calibration so then I moved on to calling arrma they told me bad servo so it came down to this and it’s fixed
First of all Horizon Hobby owns both Arrma and Spektrum . Not all Arrma’s have bad servo’s, what a uneducated stupid thing to say. My Mojave’s servo had been great for almost a year. The servo in my Typhon 6S has not failed in 2 years, and I run that car hard. Every brand has a bad one, now and then. But to put that on Arrma is ignorant. Plus you need someone show you how to do something like this before trying it, and putting out bad info.
The plastic cap on the servo saver is clockwise than the screw after that is counter clockwise.

Man i got a god damn migraine watching this and thats 23 minutes that ill never get back, that was painful 🤦🏽♂️
I fixed mine !!
The screw is a reverse thread inside the servo saver... you likely already stripped it. Check it Arrmas servo video

Thanks for the info as usual, whenever I run this probably I know what to do! The Beast is ready to emerge!
Ric Woodgett it’s snowing out
Lolol I watched the other vid first showing the reverse threads. Lolol.

Hate it
@@rcusa201 ok I'm just gonna wait til it breaks lol. Then. Get a nice one
That troublesome screw is reverse thread
Kiwi Rc the damn thread lock
I'm in Nelson. Are you up waikato
In your dx6r when you bind it to your kraton 8s is the receiver sr6100t in the menu to select. In my couldn't find it

ThoMz RC yeah mine was dead after few runs this is how I got it to work usually it take hard hit and goes out of range
@@rcusa201 nah my motor was cooked. Took the servo apart took the motor out, nothing. Even smiled fried.
ThoMz RC warranty send it back future back up but savox I use those good servos
I watched the video but i could not see the issue, you removed all gears then you took out the sensor and replaced it again then it worked?
Raymond J the out put gear it got sensor u see near twist it back and forth also took out the motor and let it run for 2 minutes it seems like it was stuck as well
So r u end up buying the new servo..?
Hendry Budi no I got that one to work keep moving the sensor it usually goes out of range maybe from big impact it’s been working ever since
@@rcusa201 awesome..goood jobb man

pickenit oh yeah change ur or just do what u did
Well it's spektrum not arrma lol
lol I dint think like that
