Lovely presentation as alway, but I preferred the house last year with the Roman brick facade in Camberwell. Too many white boxy houses these days. IMHO
They are easy to sell, but not very practical to live in, that’s for sure!

Guest suite: no door between the toilet and the bed!! 😂 Classy! I pity the guest couple who have to inhale the odors and hear all the noises of their partner just a meter away from their pillow. They’d want to be pretty familiar with each other

I like how there's an ensuite for each room and some land out the back for the kids and pets to play around (or maybe to plant some fruit trees). The pool does look inviting the moment you step through the front door. Good house to add some of your own flair to given the neutral tones. The few things that I would criticize is the lack of a properly enclosed media or cinema room. I know it's a bit picky of me but the way the cupboards open to reveal the tv is a bit ugly with all those hinges. A sliding mechanism would've been more fitting. If there was a choice between that sitting room with 6m high ceilings or 2 rooms (one on top of the other) with 2.7m or 3m ceilings I'd choose the latter. For a Melbourne home as well, I would've expected a fireplace in a property of this calibre (and price) but they've seemed to have put a window under the tv instead. Doesn't do it for me.
Anyway, I'm sure anyone would be stoked to win regardless of its perceived shortcomings. Good Luck to everyone that enters and thanks Hunting for George team for giving us a look around.

What I woulda done is put the cooktop, oven(s), and hood / vent in the butler pantry - have one kitchen be for show and other conventional kitchen you use and which can keep the stench from going all over the house.

Did Lucy lose the interest for tubs? :) so happy for this new video! I loved the master bedroom. Very nice layout of the home! But the best thing on this is the connection you two have on camera. I admire that: story telling is awesome - without noticing I'm half way through the video - and the recording of the spaces really captures it all! :) Thanks, awesome vid as usual! And yeah, Lucy - outfit selection, style... you nailed the look as always and it's obvious you love what you do in Hunting for George because you can really transfer the emotions through the video. What I would love to see in future rmh draws is the kitchen to have induction cooking plus a smaller 2 burner gas cooker. I always prefer gas cooking over induction. Induction I use mainly for boiling pasta water. Haha.

Not bad. I like the downstairs of this house but think the bedrooms are nothing special. I understand why the windows are so high up, but really hate bedrooms where you have no view.
The bamboos along the side of the pool are a really bad idea as bamboo sheds leaves all the time so someone will have to constantly fish them out of the pool.
I hope whoever won it loves it.

A hundred dollars for one ticket is way too expensive, there's no way I'd pay that much when tickets in other home lotteries are a fraction of the cost.
Unless you can afford the mortgage, gas, electric, Home Warranty, Home Insurance, The Underwriter, The Closing Lawyer, etc. don't bother. You'll go broke before you can even enjoy it. My place is bigger than that in a more rural suburban area and costs way cheaper than 4.6 million and I only pay around 4k to 5k a month. Yet I have acres of land with my house. This place looks too confined for my liking. Personally I would praise that home to around 1.8 to 2.5m. The house alone isn't really mind blowing. What makes it pop is the items within it; which doesn't usually come with the home. Besides the plants, it feels way too confined and doesn't have much of a home vibe. Feels more like a rehabilitation center. If not a place a psychiatrist would live to diagnosis their patients.
Love the channel and how you try to uplift the homes. Like the warehouse on the outside art gallery on the inside home I actually liked. Given the creativity of it. This one just felt bland to me. Felt like you can purchase this place if you wanted to help wealthy recovering addicts.

It's a prize home...there is no mortgage, underwriter or lawyer fees. Don't like it? Sell it. The value is contestable but the property (an old 3BR house) was bought for $1.84m back in 2020. Add the new house construction, landscaping, pool, electricals, furniture and $200k of Gold, total prize is worth $4.6m.
@@ironsword7 Is that a joke? "Don't like it. Sell it?" I have an LLC with multiple properties. I can tell you right now. Million dollar homes are not selling as easily as you wish they are. More people are fleeing then looking to stay long term just because of increased taxes. You'll have a better chance selling the furniture than you would the home. Yet once you sign for the home you are still paying for utilities, home insurance, home warranty, landscaping, security, etc. If that's what you want to do. Well good on you. Being homes like that can sit unsold for long extended periods of time and by the time you do sell it. You'll end up spending as much on the home as its worth. Yet by all means. Believe its a prize. It's just as much of a prize as Oprah handing out free cars till people realize how much they are paying annually on insurance. Yet don't worry. They could just sell it =). Not like they haven't been trying to give it away for the past 2 years now with no takers. Trust me when I say she isn't the first out of many individuals on this platform to pitch this home. No one wants it. It's even been repainted multiple times to sell its appeal to people and still no takers.
I'm going to be completely honest with you. I live in a rural suburb. My house is not only bigger than that. It came with 3 acres of land we just finished landscaping. Overall price I spent was close to 910k. All the properties around here are being purchased left and right. People are fleeing the cities and purchasing affordable properties with land. If not renovating massive victorian homes with ample land. I just don't see logistically the benefits of doing this. Especially considering the location. I make 6 figures yearly but even I wouldn't invest in this property. In a time where people are trying to earn a profit. A lot of people are not trying to lose profit. Especially on homes that'll need constant upkeep till sold. That's just my personal take. Yet a lot of my friends and colleagues came to the same consensus.
