Jeremiah 29:11 (Bible)
11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
If you suffer from Lust, marriage is not the solution. Sin is only overcome through Christ in us, and not by a wife or anything other in life. If you want to have a Christ centered and blessed relationship with the partner god has chosen for you, you should wait with marriage until Jesus freed you of masturbating etc. Like any other sin, Lust will always try to reenter your Life after overcoming it, but then you already got the strength through Christ to overcome temptation. Temptation will always come, but you should already know how to control yourself and not give into temptation before marriage. If you enter marriage struggling with Lust, it will have very serious consequences in your relationship.
Preach! So much wisdom and truth here! I know this first-hand to be true!
Or like in my marriage example and to refer to the proverbs verse, my wife is a blessing from God coming from a porn addict. She has helped me break my addiction. She was willing to become my accountability partner because she personally understood what i was going through. She showed her grace through God's example of being patient with me and staying with me through the battle to unbreak the chain of porn. I couldn't get through it by myself. I needed her and more importantly I needed God's holy spirit to flow through her to help her help me through the lust addiction. So yes a solid woman of God is important to fix the lust addiction 🙌 through Jesus Christ and God's blessings of a wife who will fight with you through ANYTHING. That's a true woman of God for a man.

The first minute really hit me.. I've had so much free time in my life and would fill it up with things that aren't pleasing to God (pornography, gambling etc.) I just recently lost my very good mining job, lost my rental (because I can't afford my rent payments) which lead me to moving to an entirely different city for family support.
I'm currently sleeping on an air mattress in my moms Livingroom - I'm a 31 year old male.
Since moving to this new city, I felt called by the lord and immediately joined a church. I was connected and started serving right away, filling up all this free time by attending young adult groups and mens groups during the week because I literally have nothing but free time in my life. I'd be lying if I didn't say that this is the most happiness, freedom and spiritual clarity that I've felt in my entire life. I've been free from Pornography, alcohol and gambling for a month now.
I just wanted to share as an encouragement to any of my brothers and sisters who are or have been going through season after season of difficulty, addiction or uncertainty.
AMEN! That's a powerful testimony, brother. Remember to choose Him every single day 🙏

Truly, it is only when you eat the Bread of Life and drink the Living Water that you become satisfied. Stay convicted but throw off your guilt and shame. Remember that this isn't outside of God's realm of repair - redemption is kinda His thing 🔥

I was so excited to buy a home... but when I bought it I became ALONE. Once I was alone... it's very hard to stay on track.. because I could do whatever I wanted... it's been like this for 3 years now.. but with God's help it is changing now. Thank you for the video.

Marriage is good! No doubt…I’m not to sure about marriage being the answer to lust. If lust isn’t targeted through prayer and repentance and you jump into marriage your lust will not cease to exist in your marriage.
yep. I had the same thought. Paul didnt say get married if you are struggling with lust aka adultery of the heart. He said if you burn with passion, then get married. these things are very different. Nearly every porn addiction testimony of married christian men will testify thatt they mad ethe mistake of thinking that getting married would be the solution to their lust problem.

Personally, I was battling lust addiction for many years. I was not struggling as much, but still struggling. Since being with my girlfriend now wife, I haven’t watched it. It’s been over 2 years. Lust isn’t really an issue for me anymore. My bigger struggle is weed addiction. Still clean from it for 2 years, but I still crave it and struggle with temptation.

The Lord provides! Right before this I deleted a time wasting app on my phone so that God could have me spend my time more wisely, and this came along only hours later. Praise the Lord!!!
As a freshman in highschool, i can say dat everything that he stated in this video resonates with me. I feel like a lot of people my age get too comfortable with having what they so call “fun”. I hear a lot of teenagers around my age saying that they want this they want that, but when it comes to them actually putting time and effort, they are not up for it at all😂. I’ve recently cut off tiktok and Instagram because I realized that it was taking up most of my time throughout my day and was keeping me from fulfilling the plans that god had for me. Now i can say ever since i have done dat, my relationship with god was been the strongest its ever been. People really need to get out they comfort zone and start developing discipline

Thank you for this Alex. As a high school student, I find myself feeling my time with meaningless things as an effort to just seek rest, but through work, serving and exercise God will give me rest. alex i struggle with video games i have too much time on my hands also that is what i do and i like how you said if you fondle your controller you're going to fondle yourself. thanks for putting great content out. marriage is what i am pursuing now with my girlfriend of three years. im working and not serving enough. i have decent discipline i go to the gym moderately and need to read my bible more. God has been knocking at my door lately. i pray that i stay on the narrow path that leads to life and not go astray during this season

What you said in the beginning really stuck to me, I noticed myself being lazy until I started being busy and having no time left. At first I thought that I wanted as much time as I want but you made me realize I need to be grateful I’m so busy because that mean I’m finally doing something.

I've struggled with addiction to nicotine for so long I started to give up on myself. But within the last month or so I know that the Lord has taken the burden off of my shoulders. There's no other way to explain how I am able to resist right now. When it was left to me I gave in almost every opportunity I was given. And, this is how I know it's Jesus and not me, even now I desire so badly to give in to temptation, to consume something with nicotine in it. But through the strength of the Lord I am able to resist.

This will be my second time watching this video, I’ve fallen I’ve sinned and my biggest sin I have is lust, corn, s*x addiction. it’s tearing me apart and it has since I was a kid. When I listen to this it hurts deeply because I know what I ought to do. But I feel my mind and body arguing otherwise. I feel so weak. I feel so tempted by the littlest things and I give in so quick, I feel disgusted with myself. This is a real wake up call. please keep me in your prayers. Thank you.

Thank you, Alex, for this video. When i was a teenager, i used to attend church services and camps and did a lot of things that set me apart from my friends. In high school, most of my friends were into Alcohol, drugs, and clubbing, i did things that were different. A lot of students admired me, and the school nominated me to be the school in which i was successfully elected. In the year 2020,while i was the school captain, something in school went out of control, and i was removed from being the school captain. After High school, i got selected into a College and that was where i had so much time which made me to get into drugs and alcohol and i from that year till last year 2024, i felt so lost. I’ve been finding myself with a lot more free time recently so this video was perfect. The part that stuck out to me was the beginning about why we become undisciplined and what true freedom is and isn’t. I beleive I’m a very disciplined individual as a collegiate athlete but I still find myself using dating apps or watching movies, instead of reading my Bible.
