June 2nd, 2024 - The day that many of us admitted to ourselves that the servers are basically a dumpster fire in 3.23.1. What does that look like? Get some popcorn and strap in cause the frustration will be palpable!
Some of the guys in Hadean Interstellar played a bit last night and the servers were stable(ish). Phyics were crap and there was some desync but we didn't blow up on the landing pad!
All stations need to have a full ship wipe in their non combat zones every 12 hours.. no one is getting back on those ships and the have made it where we cant salvage or drag them off..
THAT'S THE ONE!!! It was on the tip of my tongue and I was actually thinking about that after the video went live lol I got busy with other stuff and so didn't get to look it up!
CIG is just hilarious, they suck so hard. 2 times in a row i had to endure that 1 second before i could transfer my shit, the server crashed, recovered, got t posed into orbit 120km away from everrest harbor and died in space looking like a moron
Wife and I logged on for the first time in months this past weekend. Wasn't good. Took 45 mins to log in. Got all our gear on, ran around, got ammo etc to do some bunkers. We tried a few times to go to a bunker and just called it a wrap.
Welcome to the club. We have jackets but you have to purchase it on the Pledge Store and it takes forever to spawn in. Plus you can lose it in the blink of an eye due to bugs.
@@CitizenGrimm Not even hope can save SC from fail! That was a great idea 7-8 years ago, now its a pathetic tentative to save the boat and their jobs... the longer they imagine a game where bugs dont go away and only keep pilling years over years.... 1.0 is near!
I log in a Couple of times since 3.23.1 came out nothing but lag, so I gave up. Hoping it will even work, but not holding my Breath. But have a Ton of fun Playing Arma 3.
@@CitizenGrimm I mean it's pretty good now minus the bugs it can only get better. If they put all this effort in the universe the planets ships, and really everything armor weapons and every little thing can only expect great things from this game. I've played almost every MMO out there I don't see other games putting this much effort into anything like this one has.
@@Xceedpvp Yes, after 11 years it is getting better however the bugs make up a large portion of daily life in the verse; especially after each major patch.
Sky is not falling. There was no sky to begin with, and sometimes no air in my helmet. However, ships are falling, in pieces randomly exploding in hangers after landing and shutting off engines or leaving hangers. Players are falling, through elevators, landing pads, planet surfaces, trams. Nothing to see here, just another session on an SC server, move along. Move along. Yes, every one of those events happened to me between two game sessions during 6/1 and 6/2.
You aren't wrong. I struggled a good deal with just trying to do the simpliest of things yesterday. It was terribad to the point I have zero plans to do any SC until a patch is in place that reads "Come back, it's stable. Sort of".
Man, I came back to SC to check out molassis modes and salvaging for the time time. And the time before, I checked back for 3.18. I'm sure people still remember that legendary patch. Why do I have such great timing every time? Why must the servers always sh*t the bed the patches I find time to return to SC?
LOL Molassis Modes. Thanks for the chuckle. The problem is too many people were engaging and then hard burning away and the "pull the trigger until I kill something" players weren't getting satisfaction of watching people go splat. Master Modes dials that back and puts everyone on more or less equal footing if your guns are engaged. Sadly, no guns = no shields so if you attempt to speed away a strong fart will soft death your ship.
Thank you for waiting. Your 30K is very important to us but we are experiencing a much higher load than usual. Please continue to hold and you will be connected to the next available 30K.
Really enjoying Grey Zone Warfare, the dcs world F4 Phantom and the new space engineers update while i wait for some stabiliy. I am open to suggestions if anyone has some. The X4 foundations is a decent way to scratch the itch if you are wanting to star citizen but are out of patience for the servers.
For me there isn't much in the way of alternatives. I tend to focus my limited free time on one thing at a time. If it ever comes about that I'm spending time on something else then tou can bet there won't be time for SC and the Great Liquidation would begin.
@@CitizenGrimm only sc? Well i understand if you have time constraints. All the other games i mentioned are not quick games they take as much time as sc to learn. Some stability to play with friends would be welcome but i have a feeling the cargo and hangers are going to be rough at first.
For fps open world survival I play a beta game called SCUM. Base building, weapon modding including painting various patterns as well as trucks and cars that can be mudded and painted. Good graphics, a competitor to DayZ. Private servers, or public official servers and has a solo PVE mode that is same as the PVP play but you can adjust setting. No mod support yet. Don't have a flight sim, do run Mechwarrior 5 for big gun blow everything up combat.
this game went from shit to evil shit show ... last time i really enjoyed SC was 3.17.4 which was rockstable for me.95% of all quest worked and i had sessions sometime 6 hours long without any trouble
We had noticed a significant decrease in server stability over the last few patches. I think they may be trying to do too much, too quickly and with too few people. Unfortuntaely despite 700m in funding they still require constant ship sales to drive this forward. I realize that it's split between two different games but damn; my frustration on a weekend off was to the point that I wanted to CTRL ALT DELETE and go for a drive in my other guilty pleasure.
Today was a challenge just trying to bed log. Within 45 min I was somehow able to get back to my c2 and bed log through 3 crashes. Didn't want to lose my rare loot and nursa. Named her Scarlet
It's so much fun when the server errors and recovers, but you lost your bunker mission so now you are trespassing and the turrets open up on your ship. Good times.
Yeah, that is a source of frustration. Now imagine you are trying to get some video to show how far things have come and can't becuase you fell out the bottom of a planet?
Yeah it's not playable... but... new patches always bring new and old bugs back. If the patches are big like these i'm not wondering about it. Hope next patch will work better
Patch 1a was supposed to be a hotfix but it would seem CIG has decided to make it all about Xenothreat so I wouldn't count on that patch anytime soon. Xeno is a mess in the PTU right now and if the past is any indication it's going to take them a couple of weeks to get it working. Meanwhile the rest of us get to deal with a game that is an unplayable mess most of the time currently while they work on an Event Patch which will most probably make things ten times worse. Welcome to Star Citizen... Enjoy your stay. 🙄
I was thinking this today actually. Wondering if XT was going to add gas to the dumpster fire. My gut says they want to align XT with Alien Week so they can sell more ships and make it a "Big Deal". I pray this isn't the case but lately it feels like without a constant sale of new ships they can't complete the two games; despite tax breaks in the countries their offices are in, the 700m in funding and the lower paid developers (which may have changed after people like EA poached a lot of their talent).
@@CitizenGrimm Again, if the past is any indication... Xeno in the past has always launched with a whole host of "unforeseen issues" that grind servers to a halt. Happens every time they do Xeno.
Lost all my credits on a cargo haul this morning. Landed at orison after 3 trys making the run and the server shitting. Finally get to orison to collect my money, and my ship clips through the hangar and explodes. Im done with this shit.
Mmpff, was thinking to invest money in this game . But you hear more and more SC is dying and even big twitcher say "dont start sc in 2024" . Whats going on ? Is cgi about to go bankrub? It feels all rushed now and even old veterans say "dont play"
That is fair although I recommend you try during a free-fly week and then see what it is you want to do. Some go an inch and some go a mile. I'm about 3 miles in plus two or three glasses of coolaid so hope it still succeeds.

had the same experience but opposite... elevator went up all the way to space..
Elevator to heaven? LOL
Same here... stopped playing a day before that for the same reasons. Spectrum doesn't like to hear about such observations.

Yeah, that is a source of frustration for me too. "Look, we have persistance". "Sure, presistant garbage that you don't allow anyone to salvage".
@@Michael-CS 😂 yep
A one hour timer or they can be targeted by ship tractor beams would be a good start or intermediate step to the 12 hr despawn.
Fly a Mirai into the cargo doors and take the ships, fly 'em off the planet and salvage them or self distruct.
@@durzoblint8738 yeah I saw this in a video, but your missing the point it's CIG Jobs to make sure this is a priority for them.
BTW; Hannibal was his name! Hannibal, Face, Murdoch and BA Barrakas made up the A-Team.

Yeah there was a fair bit of lag this weekend. I haven't tried yet today.
Haven't had any problems, been doing mining and bounty hunting.
You are one of the lucky few. Guess mining works this patch.
Bounty missions?!?!? And you haven't gotten smoked?

The shuttles are stacked up in Orison now too. Either they are patching to 3.23.1a or the servers have crapped the bed.
I pledged an ARGO P just to start my own Orison Uber
