The ending shows how he was truly manipulated into becoming Kamukura fully, in which afterwards he was manipulated by Junko. Hajime believed he would be the same, still remembering, but with all the talents. Being put up on a stage unwillingly, shows this perfectly. All dressed up, for the show of despair, where he was the main character. Anyways, I LOVE THIS! I really like hajime, and this just flourished my liking for him lol.

He just followed her, and in his last dialogue with her, you could believe that he now considered her an enemy. Clearly, Kamukura was only acting for him from the start (he wanted to find a way to ease his boredom).
People really tend to forget entirely how desperate Hinata was to become a part of Hope's Peak main course and to feel like he deserved to interact with the Ultimates (Nanami especially) So much he willingly subjected himself to extensive human experimentation and to pretty much erase his own personality That being said, your art style is so pretty! This is amazing and god the editing is just gorgeous

As a matter of fact, I think differently from you on this matter. Your view is logical but I don't think it fits very well with the phrase "average and ordinary life". I think Hajime's parents weren't too pushy about it. They may have approved the experiment, but like Hajime, they had no idea that his "personality would be completely destroyed". I think Hajime's obsession with talent stemmed mostly from his old school. Additionally, due to the financial situation of the Hajime, family, he wanted to enter Hope's Peak Academy. (his family may not have insisted or been very helpful.)

@@alicegallagher9291 I'm not claiming otherwise, personally sometimes i thought that his family was trying to somehow support him, but Hajime initially went into this experiment to get himself out of certain situations. You might think that it all starts in the family - and it does - in the early part of the anime, Hajime's mind goes something like "his parents are stupid too" and something like "do they want him to be this successful?," which supports your theory.
Hajime is not angry with his family. He's angry off about all that's his been said. Because sometimes social and external judgments are unavoidable, no matter how much your family protects you. In his old school, he never tasted this thing called "friendship." Why would he want to stand there? Why would he want to accept total normality when there is a better life to be had?

That flower vase that Hajime turned into early in the video either symbolizes Hajime's wish to die (Likely not because he doesn't show signs of suicide, just a blatant lack of care for his own well-being) or someone or some people wanted his death. It fell out of popularity in the modern day because of how obvious it is but it used to be a way of bullying back then. it's likely still being used today just not as often.
