I Went Dumpster Diving at Dollar Stores & Retail Shops and found so much!

- Hi everybody and Happy Wednesday!! My original idea for this video was to go to dollar stores only, but ended up diving at a lot of retail stores too! I'm so happy with my finds from this trip - sooo many trips and lots of great home items from the bath store! :D

I used to work for DG. The store I worked for - White bags for trash . Black bags to “ hide” store items.

southern belle I’ve seen a lot of people dive ther and it’s always black bags. It’s true for mine.

I have used something called “goof off” to remove oil based paint from a duvet cover. It worked great and removed it all. You can find it in the laundry soap isle at the grocery store. It’s a small rectangle bottle of liquid. It removes everything! You squirt it over the “stain” paint and let it soak in for about 10 minutes. Then throw the items in the washing machine and wash. If it is still there when you remove it from the washer do this process again before drying. It usually only takes one go. Hope this helps! I love your videos and enjoy your great energy! One of the other RUclipsrs that I follow uses graffiti remover to remove all the red paint from fabrics hope it helps

Is that a chemical that truly rinses out of the fabric. Idk just me. We have enough chemicals on our fabrics (flame retardant)
Easy solution for broken candles: - Just put in a bag and put the bag in the freezer over night - when you retrieve it the next day the candle easily slips out of the broken glass, just like a pineapple upside cake from a pan) - easy peasy
Sometimes the black bags have good stuff too, so it is good to check them.

Some of them hide them in the black bags so no one knows it in there! I have seen it before so you might always want to feel how heavy the bags are! Just an idea!

Hey Kelly, lots of places ONLY use black bags for actual merchandise.
Getting stuff comes before filming..sometimes you have to put down the phone and go for it..dig
I heard WD40 Helps to loosen the spray paint too.
and rubbing alcolol to get paint off plastic, just rub lightly

Online says to try turpentine, WD-40 or even hairspray for spray paint on fabrics. But do it while its still wet. Treat it as a water based paint.
Sell the lids! I have been looking for replacement lids for my Pyrex since my dog chewed them

My son says use wax on candles for skateboarding!
If you freeze broke candles they easily pop out of the glass :)

Wax, then Stick in Micro
to Remove Residue, then Wash . . . Like NEW.
Just some advice. Look more closer. Sometimes you miss parts to you findings. Go closer to the bottom

FYI....Broken candles can be remelted & remade to sell, find nice jars to re-pour @ dollar tree.....Spray paint comes out of almost anything....you can use magic erasers on a lot of stuff, that clock being easy removal with a magic eraser....goof off works too! Wash the washable in washer to get paint out...
You did a really nice job on restoring the table. I love to dumpster diving. You never know what treasures you'll find.
That little metal stand was for that big glass drink dispenser that you moved out of the way.

Yellow dollar stors use block bags to throw out items penny items! White for returned and trash

That is a lotion wand they are great for putting lotion on your back
Also good for people who are handicapped.
They work great but the lotion dries out quickly so you have to use a little at a time.
The lotion dries up and then the roller balls eventually fall out. It’s great for a few months though.
Try hairspray on the red paint. Sometimes that works on paint and ink.

The wire “orange and black” in dumpster #2 was approximately $5. in scrap wire. 😲 I was like “I wish I was there!”

Margie Brown : I agree. I suggested several months ago to take wire cutters in her car. She’d have a 5 gallon bucket of wires in no time. Gas$$ for all that copper!

Hi ! From Puerto Rico I've seen other divers that have found thing even in the recycle bins under the cardboard and at the very bottom of the binds and in black plastic bags. Good luck blessings always.
Take the boxes and stuff out to get the stuff then toss them back in when you're done. :) it will definitely be worth it!! Even if its spray painted take it.
Contact the Dailey diver she is always finding items from. BBAB with red paint. She may be able to give you some suggestions...good luck...good haul...love 💘 your videos
The metal round thing is for big jar with small faucet to despens juice. You saw the jar it was in the dumpster .love the videos

Try using a soaker I have gotten out mould with a nappy soaker. Just give it a try.
Yes, list the pyrex lids. I've already had to replace mine. Love your hair, soo cute.
hairspray and a hard rub with a facecloth, repeat. Throw in washer then dry. If not all the way out try it again. Hope this helps.
Dont dry if not all the way out. Alchohol eorks but be careful of spreading blot with clean white cloth. Only dry when stain is out

I've heard hair spray also. But it's got to be Aerosol can hairspray. I've never tried on cloth but works on vynal aka pleather.

Go to the hardware store...you need paint remover!! Soak it, then scrub and wash and resoak if need it!

Try rubbing alcohol on material.it gets out sharpie pens ,see if it gets out paint.
Agreed! If you can find it... Or look for denatured alcohol OR 100% acetone, but be careful with the acetone on certain fabrics... It can melt like rayon I think...

Red sprayed items; StephStevenResaleKillers dive at BB&B and find lots of red paint items; their readers have left so many comments on what to use; but above all, don't throw into the dryer until the paint is gone otherwise the paint will set.

Ask Google how to get oil based spray paint out of cloth, they have a few suggestions.

I would love a video on what works/what doesn't for the paint removal. There are so many suggestions out there. That would be a great use of the painted goods and an inside video for rainy days. Thank you
If I was an employee at a store that was throwing out perfectly good food there is NO WAY I wouldn’t get it to a food bank or someone in need! Ridiculous to let good food go to waste!
