@@meatmtgyou made me not only play this deck irl but also thought me to play it properly by explaining your reasoning on why you do things. May I add your also entertaining to watch big props and thanks man
Enjoying your videos Sir, the way you narrate your games and lines of thinking is really approachable, really good for soaking in some games from someone familiar with a deck, learn it.
In game 3 match 2 (against yawg) you could combo at Min 37.34) u had to sacrifice Wall of root and exile It with cauldron putting +1/+1 on yawg. Then you Need to draw a black Land for zulaport and u could go infinite. Then u could make safest plays likes halfling for kill che bowmasters etc. But u had a combo there
Love to see more Yawg games, especially when winning every mirror match! One question for you, as you know I love to ask haha: If Wolf has already a +1/+1 counter and a -0/-1 counter from cauldroned Wall of Roots, I sac a creature with Yawg and target the Wolf to remove the +1/+1 counter, will it die as a state based action before Immortal can even trigger?
Ayy that's how we do it! 🕺 Yes! Due to SBA, the Wolf will die as the counters are cancelling each other out, so it will be seen as dying with a +1/+1 counter on it and not come back.
had something similar happen to me and i learned about this rule. I had a young wolf with a +1/+1 counter. I sac'd some fodder and targeted YW with a -1 counter. Opponent pinged it in response with Ballista. I initially thought cool this doesnt matter at all! But really the wolf died with both a +1 counter AND a -1 counter. SBA will be checked and it dies with the -1 counter and undying will not trigger
Ty! Here's Control4Daze's sideboard guide which I reference: docs.google.com/document/d/1tlVUJ5nlX4JBukwX--eUwu4J3g1tv9eIafaabpKoz1Q/edit Its not the exact same as my list, but I make adjustments based on what I'm playing. 🕺
Hello! Legion's End comes in VS Scam to take out Voidwalkers, Rhinos for rhino tokens, Hammer for Kaldra or other 1-2 drops, Murktide for DRC and Shredder, and the Mirror for mana dorks. 🕺The card can be back breaking if you hit multiples
Yes! So they start off by putting a -0/-1 counter on the Wolf with Wall's ability. The Wolf is now a 2/1 with a +1/+1 counter and a -0/-1 counter. They try to "reset" the Wolf by sacking the plant targeting the wolf, but due to State Based Actions when the trigger resolves, the Wolf will still see itself having a +1/+1 counter on it when it dies even though a negative counter was put on it. Therefore Undying doesn't trigger and the wolf dies. I'm not a judge, so I don't know if I got everything correct there 😆 but I hope this helps!
Basically the creature has to survive in order to have the +1+1 and -1-1 counters to negate each other, if the creature dies instantly as a result of a state based action, it doesnt have a window for the counters to see each other.

True! At that point, I figured we were quite far ahead no matter what our opponent had there though.

Amulet titan players are always typing some salty nonsense in mtgo chat I swear

Almost 5 years ago an amulet titan player chucked his deck across the LGS after they tried to transmute tolaria west but I vialed in a leonin arbiter
