I love acorn hands down the best for me and my wife invest and forget it round ups are so cool also invest for you just by swiping you’re card getting groceries is just perfect people complain about the 3 dollars fee like really you spent 3 dollars in an energy drink but you complain about something that will make you more wealthy long term and plus I have the retirement account also max out

Why did you did you pick Accorns over Fidelity? You could have done 80/20 split allocation with FZROX and FZILX and saved on account fees and expense ratio.

So this app basically acts as a robo advisor that conducts trades for you based on pre-set investment parameters?

In a way - basically each time $5, $10, etc will be invested in your selected portfolio

I learned a long, long time ago to study your market and trade for yourself. Let me emphasize study! Follow a market/chart it. This sounds too good to be true, and it's out of California. Two negatives. I stay away from California anymore and will not deal with any company that is associated with India or an Indian (hackers out of Mumbai are common).

Hey, I've been trying to get an account with Acorns for the last 2 weeks and the app keeps saying their working on something. I've tried it from the app on my phone and a PC as well. Any ideas?

Is it possible to lose money? Like the stocks going down and now you’re out $1000 of you’re initial investment?

Bad app trust me they take advantage of your money. There’s too many good investment apps out there for this one to be the one you use.

I am slowly starting to realize that this app could be a ripoff. 12 months in and my total gains is a whooping negative $1,300.00.

Meaning i just lost $1300 dollars in the last 12 months since i started in June 2021.

@@mastertoyang Nope. Their ETFs are legit in the aggressive plan. The stock market is having a bad year. Same results would happen with any broker, old and new school.
The only issue is the account fees. $36 per year to $60 per year (family plan) is too much for beginners. Especially with inflation issues back to back years. With Fidelity, you can get zero expense ratio funds and no account fees. Just create an 80/20 allocation split between FZROX & FZILX.
