You are an amazing teacher. I am very new to photography and editing - very new. You are the first person that has shown me how to really use Adobe. Thank you so much.
It never ceases to amaze me with Adobe. They're meant to be the big hitters in the photography market but somehow their AI seems to be way behind others that work on a fraction of the budget that they have. The majority of the time I use their neural filters I'm left feeling disappointed.
I was about to write exactly this. Why is Adobe so far behind with this stuff? They turnover $13 billion a year and yet a bunch of (awesome) Estonians makes them look like amateurs.
I just purchased the Matifier plug in and damn!! it helps SO MUCH tbh, I personally think that's the best of all the plug ins since many of the people who come to the studio have oily skin or for some reason there are very noticeable highlights on the face, and it saves me a bunch of time, I think the Matifier, Dodging and Burning and Healing are the top 3 but I still have to buy the latter 2 (I just tried the demo of them and saw huge differences), hopefully as I get more gigs I'll be able to have an excuse for the last 2 lol, thank you PiXimperfect!! your content is top notch :)
I do very well with skin retouching using frequency separation, dodge and burn, or both. I knew it was only a matter of time that adobe will come out with AI skin retouching. boom here it is. I'm glad because I don't have to spends hours retouching skins especially on commercial shots
OMG this is the best plugin ever. I was using Portrait Pro. But, the skin results of Retouch4me is insane. Absolutely perfect. Now, the price! :( But, I will buy it for sure. I love it.
I feel like a lot of people are complaining about the full price with all of the tools, but they're missing the point. What's so great is that each tool is separate, you can take what you want, pass on what you don't. I feel like blemish removal "HEAL" is so easy in PS currently, so that one is a time saver...no doubt, but, an easy pass for me. The dodge and burn is the real time saver and you can just buy that one for $111. The volume is also an easy pass for me. Teeth whitener, pass. The Eye tool, now that's interesting, would love a video on how that works.
I have tested the three standalone demos and it is quite close to how I edit my photos with small exceptions such as stretch marks on a model's leg which are not removed with the Heal tool, nor with the Dodge and Burn tool, so this is something I still need to do manually. Although I think the price for the tools are hefty for the average user it surely is a great tool for professional photographers as it pays off easily with time, one can save a lot of time and that's an important point when you need to pay bills. I'm a semi pro, not depending on an income from photography and the software for the results but I think I will grab it because it saves me a lot of time time I can use for other things instead of spending the whole day retouching photos from a shoot with several sets. I have other hobbies I want to spend time on, meet friends and enjoy a walk/hike in the nature. I could not test the plugins for photoshop as the demos don't allow to save the work but as a standalone tool it showed the capability and that was pretty convincing to me. Unfortunately testing all three tools at the same time is not possible because the demos don't allow saving so I could not test Heal, DnB and PV on the same photo. I have tested it on untouched photos as well as on fully retouched photos. I only shoot models, mostly with little to no clothes, so skin retouching takes a long time, few full body, mostly american cut (above knee upwards) photos with lots of skin to retouch. Some mention it may take long to process on slower machines. On my machine it felt very fast with TIFF 16bit and 8bit sRGB and JPG files at 100% quality. Opening a photo and appliying the AI took between 5 and 8 seconds with each tool. My Machine specs read: i7-10770, RTX 3070, 32GB RAM Update: I bought all three pieces of software, Heal, DnB and Portrait Volumes after testing it for hours with various model photos I shot this year.
@@haies09 Yeah, I've noticed that feature, I'm not really sure about sending in photos yet. I think it will get better with time. Since that's the only thing I've noticed so far I'm happy with this software, unlike like portrait pro, Luminar 4 and Luminar AI.
outstanding results, i have PortraitPro, Luminar but this is next level in a.i. retouching. Combined with only some of luminar enchantments it might be true one-click photo preparation for avarage client
This is insanely helpful as I have occasional clients where I need to purely batch edit "good enough" shots at volume. This will easily save me a weeks worth of editing for a few hundred bucks.
Thank you! This is going to save me so much time. If I can get this to average 30 seconds an image as your example did, this will save me hours per client. This should pay for itself in three sessions just from the saved time.
A very useful tool. Many folds faster than manual editing. But for creative purpose, I would prefer to use it along with mask. Based on picture the result varies. Some results are flawless some still require good work. For bulk processing, it's really very handy to use.
It works so-so to be honest. Most of the time d&b works weird, especially on the dark areas, brightening them up too much so the skin looks covered in spots. Opacity doesn't help here, only masking. It doesn't remove small spots also, it works okay on some larger chunks of skin. I mean, yeah, it could help if you don't have clients who notice such things...but in my case they'd be pissed)) And again, you think that you push three buttons and you're done. But no, 99% of the time you'll be fixing the AI mistakes, which takes even more time than editing it manually. I'm talking about hi-end editing, not some batch wedding shoots, if you know what I mean) so yeah, try it on your own risk.
this tech is amazing... i think for commercial work, you still need to retouch manually but for 95%-99% of the rest of us, this tool is more than enough for a perfectly acceptable product to deliver to clients. maybe in about 5-10 years, AI will exceed what we believe are our 'artistic limits' ;)
I bought the dodge and burn plugin yesterday and tested it on many different photos (professional photography pics, busy background pics, unprofessional pics...) While it does not work 100% like doing it yourself, it did cut my time of editing at least by half. It gives such a good starting point and then you can refine it for another 10-20 minutes and you are done for most photos. Honestly, I do a lot of photo editing (commercial work) and I would recommend it to cut down the edit time. The other plugins don't feel like value for money to me, but I'm sure that if you want to spend the money, they will be useful as well.
Great video - I'm going to try it. My only criticism is that you didn't demo it on older people. I do exec headshots and wrinkles are the issue, not blemishes and zits!
Okay, I bought the two plug-ins you demoed here based on your reputation that you really believe in these, rather than just receiving code kickbacks. (nothing wrong with receiving kickbacks if you also believe in the product) It appears that rather than including a flashy GUI that looks good in video ads, this seems to hit the mark in everyday usefulness if one, like me, has a need for this. Looking forward to using these.
Hey Steven, would you mind sharing? I'm kinda broke but this would probably help me get photo jobs done quicker (so I can eventually pay for the product myself). Let me know if you want to help me out. Cheers.
@@CoolMessiah111 Are you asking for a code? It's “PIXIMPERFECT" As far as the plug-ins are concerned, yes I find them useful on my non-photojournalism projects.
Thanks for the great video. The only thing I found so far where the healing plug-in goes faulty is when there is a visible belly button. In that case it tries to heal and remove the bellybutton, which looks terrible. Fortunately you can correct that again afterwards in photoshop.
Love this video. I was amazed at what retouch4me can do. I'm using PortraitPro Studio which is much better than Luminar Ai and Photoshop and does so much more as well. So I wish you'd made that comparison.
just purchase retouch4me a couple weeks ago and indeed it had cut down my post process for beauty retouch by at least 1/3 to 2/3 of my time. Huge help. I bought the dodgeBurn and Portrait volumne, the only 2 i think is worth the money. Healing isn't worth it i find, i still have to go back and do some healing myself, so no point.
I think this is pretty darn good and I also understand why the plug-ins are so expensive BUT the fact that it doesn't actually do all the work means I'll still have some refining to do. Also, there were only a few examples tested in this video. Still not sure if it can handle any image I throw at it. For that reason I think I'll wait until it is enhanced some more OR the price drops and it comes as a bundle. Maybe I didn't look long and hard enough but on the website it seems each filter has to be purchased separately. Very impressive though!
I use these plugins too. And I have to say though they have done great job, I still love your technic. And the basic skills and hard work is worthy to study.
it's good for some cases which i want them fast and not necessarily perfect. it saves a ton of time. but for the cases which i want them perfect. i prefer to work on them manually from the ground up.
Hello Unmesh, I am a big fan. I've watched all videos of your youtube channel. That's crazy haha. Recently my client asked me to remove the lens flare from his one family photo. I have checked each related video on youtube. Didn't find any video helpful. I look forward to hearing from the best photoshop instructor of this era. Can you make a video on how to remove lens flare?
Will deniteley try it. Notice it would not work that well for eye bags and eye wrinkles, but for 300 with the discount, it is a little steep for a beginner not making money yet.
This is pretty good and could potentially save retouching artists a lot of time in some occasions, but I'm concerned with how this plugin will work with other skin types, and less-than-studio quality shots including shots that have a busier background or different lighting. How great of a job would it do if someone had a skin condition such as vitiligo?
They actually have a tutorial with dark skin tone, and I was still impressed. I also recently tried the demo, test a busy background and although it did pick it up. It was easily removed using subject select and mask.
@@princejones0077 It's estimated that at a minimum vitiligo affects 0.5% of the population, which would be about 38.9 million people at minimum suffering from vitiligo. Maybe not every client a retoucher works with has vitiligo, but if someone were to want to use an AI to retouch their own skin (which is what it would be used for more often in this case, people that want to speed up the process or people that don't know how); someone with vitiligo could find it problematic. Retouching is used to remove what people perceive to be flaws, and that extends to your usual acne, scarring etc to conditions that affect the way skin looks such as vitiligo, eczema, etc. The majority of clients that retouchers work with are people that feel self conscious about the way they look in a photo, and so people with a condition or problem that may make them feel out of place or self conscious are often clients in. Not to mention, this could also extend to the ability to retouch sunburnt skin well or not, as it extends to anything that has to do with discoloration of the skin where the skintone becomes uneven.
@@gyrthez246 The truth is an ordinary person is less likely to use photoshop to retouch their own photos. I’m in the industry and fact is majority of retouching using photoshop is done primary NOT because the client is self conscious etc but it’s because it’s done automatically as part of the service. A lot of retouching is done to augment/enhance the photo but not necessarily because the subject asked you to. Photographers like Dan Matallana, Bryce Thompson, Danny Cardozo, and retoucher Igor M will tell you the same thing. People with vitiligo who are conscious about their condition are unlikely to sit in front of a camera for a close up shot without already having corrected what they need to “hide”. The opposite goes with people who enjoy them. It’s almost like a dichotomy. Either way, you’re not having to do heavy retouching in addition to having a very rare chance of photographing one to begin with. Anyways, regardless if you’re working on vitiligo or not, skin retouching requires knowledge and practice whether you’re using dodging and burning, frequency separation, healing, cloning, blurring, high pass, layering, AI or combination. AI just like the rest isn’t a magic wand (pun also intended lol).
Just bought all of the plug-ins ! I’m not one bit satisfied just to let everyone on here know… you really need the most perfect image for it to work! I shoot with a canon r6 and mostly full length portraits and the only one that kind of works is heel
A full length portrait on a 20mp sensor doesn’t need a lot of retouching to begin with. The results are always going to be more noticeable when there is more detail in the subject to begin with, i.e tighter shots and/or higher resolution images where you can see the skin texture clearly. If I’m retouching by hand, a full length shot takes only a fraction of the time I need to spend on a tight headshot of the same person.

It never ceases to amaze me with Adobe. They're meant to be the big hitters in the photography market but somehow their AI seems to be way behind others that work on a fraction of the budget that they have. The majority of the time I use their neural filters I'm left feeling disappointed.
They are way to busy shopping for Lear Jets and Yachts to care about improving software..
I was about to write exactly this. Why is Adobe so far behind with this stuff? They turnover $13 billion a year and yet a bunch of (awesome) Estonians makes them look like amateurs.
Adobe has become a bit arrogant and complacent.
They thought they were the only significant player in the game.
Surprise!
@@raytreat6599 They always where arrogant. I miss Macromedia...
Whats the really good options in the market?
I push on the thumb button before to watch just to say how much I trust Umesh for his great tutorial ...thank you for all
And I do not take your trust for granted. Thank you so much, Daniel :)
Got them. Thx for the discount. I watch your tuts with pleasure. Even if i know something, i still watch it to see if i missed something :)
What a revolutionary tool for photographers and retouchers!
My Machine specs read: i7-10770, RTX 3070, 32GB RAM
Update: I bought all three pieces of software, Heal, DnB and Portrait Volumes after testing it for hours with various model photos I shot this year.
I have been using this software for some time ... it is a very good plugin
Are you using it for mac?
Using Retouch4my for some time already. Best working plugins so far!
Unmesh is my favorite Indian fellow! Have learned so much from you. Love the way you teach. Makes everything easy to understand. Merry Christmas!
I would be curious to see how it stacks against anthropics Portrait Pro software.
Yay so glad you showcased these plug-ins. Oleg is hands down the best developer, can't wait to see what else he creates
True.
This is just beyond the imagination from Plugins! That we can expect! 😳😳😳😳
It works so-so to be honest. Most of the time d&b works weird, especially on the dark areas, brightening them up too much so the skin looks covered in spots. Opacity doesn't help here, only masking. It doesn't remove small spots also, it works okay on some larger chunks of skin. I mean, yeah, it could help if you don't have clients who notice such things...but in my case they'd be pissed))
And again, you think that you push three buttons and you're done. But no, 99% of the time you'll be fixing the AI mistakes, which takes even more time than editing it manually. I'm talking about hi-end editing, not some batch wedding shoots, if you know what I mean) so yeah, try it on your own risk.
Would you mind sharing the plugin, if you bought it?
you and Jesus Ramirez are the. core of Adobe hardcore photoshop I like to learn stuff from without BS
Unmesh, you brighten my day !!
this tech is amazing... i think for commercial work, you still need to retouch manually but for 95%-99% of the rest of us, this tool is more than enough for a perfectly acceptable product to deliver to clients. maybe in about 5-10 years, AI will exceed what we believe are our 'artistic limits' ;)
Good point! I have the same problem. Would love to see how the plugin performs there
No words to thank you. That’s the only thing I want to say you. ❤️❤️❤️
Okay, I bought the two plug-ins you demoed here based on your reputation that you really believe in these, rather than just receiving code kickbacks. (nothing wrong with receiving kickbacks if you also believe in the product)
It appears that rather than including a flashy GUI that looks good in video ads, this seems to hit the mark in everyday usefulness if one, like me, has a need for this.
It's “PIXIMPERFECT"
As far as the plug-ins are concerned, yes I find them useful on my non-photojournalism projects.
@@stevengeorges9046 No I was asking to share the software. Hat in hand.
I live seeing this man on my screen
Thanks for the great video. The only thing I found so far where the healing plug-in goes faulty is when there is a visible belly button. In that case it tries to heal and remove the bellybutton, which looks terrible. Fortunately you can correct that again afterwards in photoshop.
OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! straight up magic😱
Love this video. I was amazed at what retouch4me can do. I'm using PortraitPro Studio which is much better than Luminar Ai and Photoshop and does so much more as well. So I wish you'd made that comparison.
Stunning and really scary that its that good! certainly a time saver!
just purchase retouch4me a couple weeks ago and indeed it had cut down my post process for beauty retouch by at least 1/3 to 2/3 of my time. Huge help. I bought the dodgeBurn and Portrait volumne, the only 2 i think is worth the money. Healing isn't worth it i find, i still have to go back and do some healing myself, so no point.
this is mind bending!
I hate to retouch and this is a pure gold solution!
Did you buy it?
@@CoolMessiah111 yes and its awesome!
@@LevAshin I want to buy it but I'm completely broke. Would you mind sharing? Asking hat in hand because I never pirate stuff like this ordinarily.
This is amazing, im a brand owner that can't afford to pay $5k for a professional shoot, and im not experienced with photo editing, thank you so much
Danke!
Sir, I agree with you.
The best videos on RUclips
Este es un fantástico plugin, el, mejor que he visto hasta Hora
Boy I wish this was around 15 years ago when I did high volume skin retouching. Of course, I wouldn't have made as much money as I did!
15 years 😳
DAMN! 15 years? WOW! You must have become a skin retouching legend for sure.
@@PiXimperfect And that was before usable tablets so imagine how my right index finger feels after millions of burn and dodge mouse clicks!
ahhhh , you made our life sooo easy. thankyou very much
The results look pretty amazing .i chose to use it and bit of finishing touch with myself .
Nothing beats finishing it off brushing manually!
Thank You for presenting this gift!
I use these plugins too. And I have to say though they have done great job, I still love your technic. And the basic skills and hard work is worthy to study.
Mindblowing! Thx for sharing your priceless skills!
high quality content from unmesh all the time
Thank you, friend! Glad you enjoyed it.
Im always wondering where did you get stock photo from. Anyway good vid always 👍🏻👍🏻
Adobe Software (Suite) is the industry standard! Great
This looks fantastic (and is too expensive for me). When are we going to get an AI that can really select hair?
got it!!! tnx! keep on bringing this highlights.
Phenomenal definitely saves hours if work
Oleg is a genius
Thanx for your comparisson. Yes, the results makes me speachless, but also the price for those plugins. Not my level, but interesting.

The software is expensive, but will save hours and hours for headshots, portraits, weddings. Might have to save up for it, but it's on my wish list!!
Thank you! and this is WHY I am a patreon member! Amazing comparison.
This I will be using once I get a computer capable of doing ML and AI without clogging up resources.
Your videos are always helpful for me. kudos.

Hey I love Your all concepts ❤️❤️❤️Love from India 🇮🇳
I said "whoa" at the same time with Unmesh, when I saw RT4me quality at comparison part...Nice share...
This is actually impressive.
finally the tool i was waiting for
it's good for some cases which i want them fast and not necessarily perfect. it saves a ton of time.
but for the cases which i want them perfect. i prefer to work on them manually from the ground up.
Love these plugins!
Holy wow. Instant buy!
This is mindblowing! 🤯 great thanks for presenting 🙏
This is just AMAZING!!!!
You're amazing I enjoy watching your videos ❤️❤️❤️
You can use the AI to speed things up and then add your creative touch to refine it.
It was easily removed using subject select and mask.
okay but how often do u really have to retouch someone with vitiligo tho
Thank you for being the legend that you are!!!!!
