- With the release of Combat Achievements in Oldschool Runescape, I decided it was time to start trying to actually get good at the game. Unfortunately, there are still a few more days until this update is released, so I decided to go for the only time that will be retroactive - The Corrupted Gauntlet Grandmaster Speedrun time. Once Combat Achievements are fully released, I'm planning on going for more master or grandmaster achievements, so if you're interested in watching me progress through those achievements, let me know!

I'm currently at a 7min pb and I've had runs that felt 630 but rng on hunleff haven't gone my way.

my new pb is 8 minutes 51 seconds. I have no clue how to shave off 2.5 minutes xd

You can use your pestle & mortar on the tier 3 weapon upgrades for crystal shards.
Yeah I am aware, it just doesn't come up very often when going for a speed time since killing an extra demi just for shards is a little slow

I forgot I made this comment lol. I ended up completing it, I think it took me like 6 hours. I’m too shit to beat the gauntlet and the bots in zalcano get the kill before I can even figure out what I’m doing. Oh well, I’m pretty close to a quest cape now so at least this ones out of the way
@@ling0s138 if roidie can have 400 cg kc on a lvl 100 hcim, you can beat the normal gauntlet at least once. Watch a beginner video guide and then just begin. Die a bunch and learn from your mistakes. Use f-keys, npc indicators to highlight hunllef, and tile indicators with highlight destination, hovered tile, and (most importantly) true tile.
you can go from having never entered gauntlet to having beaten it in less than a day, you just gotta grind out that practice.
Congrats on this achievement. I've been struggling just to complete the Easy Combat Diaries on my stream lol.

I'm actually having a lot of fun playing on my main again. Even though Im still pretty trash and am pretty far from max gear having a goal on osrs feels good and combat achievements kind of give me something to go for again. That all being said, expect more CA content soon :)

Must kick for 5:1
12 Fish
Log out if prep time is too long
Hungleff fight itself must be under 3:30 and is highly rng depending on if T3 weapon hits or not
Did not use Redemption

I'm working on a separate video that gives more specifics on the prep (should be done in the next day or so) but in general you covered most of it. The only big thing is Veng the demi boss, it can save upwards to 5 seconds. Also generally, with 99 stats a 3:30 Hunllef isn't super RNG dependent, just requires taking no avoidable damage, have average dps output, and the only thing you need to be slightly lucky with is damage intake from Hunllef's autos

I started doing CG just a few days ago. I am still working on getting consistent completions with full inventories of food, and my kill times with my stats are 5:30- so seeing you get entire completions 1:30 longer than my kill times blows my mind

Doing regular gauntlet atm, total pvm noob here: have 35 kc or so. Bit scared to try the cg
ive only tried like 4-5 times but my best time is 7:11. i dont feel like grinding for under 6:30 kuz i wanna win 100% and thats impossible at those speeds. currently rank 140~ in kc at cgaunt woo i love the grind................................

I have a video releasing today that goes over some tips for speeding up runs and has 2 quick prep phases (almost unedited) going on in the background. The end of the video is a full 2:55 prep with some general commentary over the top of it

Please do other bosses. Optimizing speed is like my favorite and most needed thing. No one does that.
I plan on making my way through most of the Master / Grandmaster achievements once they come out, so if people end up enjoying watching me struggle, I can keep coming out with these

Yeah I know it's possible but I was finding that the layouts required for 2 t3 weapons was way less consistent and since I felt comfortable with 5:1 it just seemed like it would be more time-efficient to go for 1 t3
