The only way to compare the proper pronunciation is to compare it from the dictionary. For example compare how you pronounce a word and see how it is pronounced in the Dictionary
Everyone/everybody has an accent that is why you even recognise who is speaking. Many people fail to understand that accent is not only restricted on pronouncing words but it also involves how one sounds.
I've spoken to native English speakers and guys, some of them actually make grammatical errors 😅, ❤so this accent thing should not be serious at all, remember that English or any colonial languages don't define your intelligence. Also most people who speak a colonial language already speak one or two other African languages already. Lastly accents are beautiful and they add spice to our lives. Imagine if we all sounded the same, Booorriiinngg!😂
I think people don’t understand what an accent is :.. so according to a dictionary.. . a distinctive mode of pronunciation of a language, especially one associated with a particular nation, locality, or social class…. Americans say the British have an accent and vice versa .. having no accent is meaning that you are quiet and you are not saying anything .. am out a Kenyan in Dallas
Accent is like skin. If anyone ever tells you that he/she doesn't have an accent, then, it is also possible that he/she has no skin. I'm Kenyan by the way and my accent is Kenyan/Kikuyu.
The people who don't have an accent are the originators of the language and only for their own language. If they try speaking another language that is not their mother tongue, they are most likely going to have an accent.
The lady speaking besides you, do has a problem in pronunciation I've noticed. Kenyan accent is derived from British so French colonial countries speakers find it hard. Most African countries articulate vowels sounds and consonant as if in their mother tongue language i.e the bantu s
Everyone has an accent. Americans and the British have different accents. Australian have accent. All others who Englishis swcong languagejave an accent. .
All Africans have accent and what's wrong with that? We should be proud of whom we are. If your west Africa be proud of your accent, if your Kenya, Uganda or Tanzania be yourself and be proud of your accent. I can easily tell someone from East Africa, southern Africa, west Africa, central Africa immediately they start speaking and l have no issues with that. Non of this people was born English people but they learn the language instead.
@@DGLOBALPRINCESS exactly 💯, even in Kenya where l come from we have different accents as what the colonisers called tribes were indeed Nations with their own language and therefore there accent. If you hear an English man speaking, his accent will be completely different from a Scottish man or an lrish man or Welsh but still it's English language.
