  • This is a return trip to the site of an abandoned farmhouse dating from the earliest years of the 20th Century. Conditions are even worse than the first sortie with rampant impenetrable grass covering most of the site. However, we still ping a couple of nice targets with the Garrett AT Max and the 5 x 8 DD searchcoil. Thanks for watching and commenting - Happy Fossicking! Warren and Colleen.

Hi Warren: Another great sortie, and the never ending grass battle. Nice recoveries from under Ye Olde Home Tree, I'm looking forward to more finds at this location. Oh...BTW...the pie looked delish!

Another great video Warren. The two 1945 King George VI pennies show that there will be more targets of interest at this site. I look forward to seeing what you and Colleen find on your next trip to this spot. Cheers!

Great spot Warren. Enjoyed seeing you dig up the pennies. We don't have Trove here in the U.S. of course but I have found some good sites using old maps from our Library of Congress that are available online now. I'm guessing it's about the same thing. I also use the Historic Aerials site here but I never thought to look for exotic plants. I'll have to keep that in mind.

Hi Warren, I often use google lens app to identify foliage when I’m out. Can be handy for anything actually.

Just think of all; the coins you would have had if only Coleen was there. You are not thinking to good. I used to take a whipper snipper with me and cut the tall uncut. Makes the grass sprout new shoots to for the farmer's cows.
