With all the details coming out, "incompetence" looks like it needs to be ruled out.
@El-Harto No doubt but this is the SS (the irony isn't lost on me), not the State Police.
I have no issue thinking it didn't play a part but the extent to which everything was ignored seems far too suspicious especially with how obvious everything was.

Hanlon's Razor is a conditional statement for a reason. Incompetence does seem to have played a substantial role in how the whole thing played out, but there's still a lot of stuff about this scenario which stupidity, even at extreme levels, simply fails to adequately explain.

What did the shooter's parents know and when did they know it? Were they aware their son had visited the assassination site before the day of the shooting?

@barfo281 Note Rothbard’s quote. Trump is obviously the anti-establish figure in this situation, and the attempt on his life falls perfectly into this rubric. You can be a libertarian and reject the state, but when a politician comes forward to upend all of it and dodges a bullet by the grace of God, you should take notice
