I love to know who that was that complained about the batteries ? I ran a 420F for 8 years and never once had an issue with the batteries. I loved them where they were because it left the tool box wide open for actual tools and storage..And it was dry. I now operate the new 420XE and I hate the batteries in there and water gets in this box all the time and gets things wet.Never had this issue before and also liked the molded tool box vs the steel.
The only thing about the bachoe control system if u gets the tractor in a hard place and u needs to use the front and back bucket to get u out of a hard place u cant its eather one system or the other with tjis 420 xe than the 420 f 2 it

U all need to replace as much hoses as possible with aluminum cooler lines, like Case Does!!! Urs are designed to be replaced too fast!!! To make money off us

This is one of the Backhoes I'm looking at to start my business with. The others are the John Deere 310 SL HL the Case 580N and the Bobcat 730 R series I was going to also consider the New Holland B95C backhoe. However with New Holland so far behind on their production of well basically everything. I would take forever for the machine to even get here. Not only that but I looked at every New Holland and New Holland construction dealership's and there's none to be found. How can you claim to sell equipment yet you have none in your dealerships? What kind of bullshit is that. Not only that but case is pretty much the same as New Holland since they're pretty much the same company. Anyway any information on the Caterpillar backhoe would make my decision much easier.
Just put a cat on order and wait for it. Get a ext warranty and a service agreement to protect your investment. The world of having inventory is gone!!!
Is the front coupler standard on xe? Can it be put on regular 420? I'm thinking of switching to Cat.
Yes it is on the XE. There is also an option for the regular 420
