Venoxium, not sure if anybody has given you this advice, but wanted to say it for a couple of videos now - a great way to prevent the need to run around vendors to look for gun parts you need is to keep lower class weapons you find, like A-class smgs, in your main base (especially in the early game or after finding a gun of higher tier with good barrel that you want to repair). What for? For example Vityaz or Aug 9mm can yield you perfect spare parts that can be used in the corresponding Warsaw/Nato factions of C-D class and would cost you less than if bought separately (1 part from mechanic goes for 6k at least and A-kit with 3 charges should run you 12-14k max if I remember correctly). Just use a charge of A-class repair kit to get the needed part in the SMG, take it out and put into the gun of higher tier. Like, check the 9mm carbine you found in this loner playthrough - I'm sure you can get like all the details from it needed to fully repair almost any Nato rifle with a good barrel :D Same applies to some semi auto shotguns in B class for example - you can use B-class kit to get good parts in spas/armsel protecta and easily put those in saiga or higher. That can save you a bunch of time and provide you with better guns before obtaining adv/expert tools. I found that extremely useful for early game in all of my playthroughs in the past, so hope you'll be able to utilize this to you benefit as well! Sidenote: Also, if I remember correctly, you should be able to buy PU scopes (for SKSs/mosins you find) along with a decent amount of ammo from the guys in flea market (regardless of rep since their stock is fixed), so it could be an easily obtainable and maintainable long range option for early game - feel free to check on your end. Regardless, loving the content and have binge watched the whole ironman series, keep it up!
honestly thought this was common knowledge atp. Being the loot goblin that I am, I generally only get rid of weapons if I'm not gonna use them and always scrap them for parts, remembering to sell any parts I can't use or dont want to commit to repairing. basically, bolt action rifles are getting stripped of parts and if any of the parts in them match with another weapon I might wanna use or am using, then I'm holding onto them and selling any I have in duplicates with lower durability.
Thanks for telling me! That's honestly a really good tip. I normally just keep weapons to keep them LOL. Once something goes in a stash it just stays there forever. I'll check the flea market for a PU scope tho because everywhere else has nothing. Literally loaded up an old save where my Rep was maxed out with almost everyone & not a single person had a PU scope.
What you said about ADHD around 14:20 is very interesting, cause I've always felt this way too (I also have ADHD), but always thought this was just a weird thing that happened to me, or just a matter of perspective. An analogy I always use to describe this is that while people talk about their attention span being like a cup with water, where their attention is limited by "how much water there is in the cup", my attention span seems to work like a cup that's overflowing, and for me to be able to focus on one thing, first I gotta deal with that overflowing by focusing on at least one other thing.
i have an exam tmrw, it’s 12am already (so actually today even huh) and i should really study, but here i am great series! can’t wait for next ep, sadly can’t watch streams bc of timezones but eh
Performance upgrades are always quite subjective and every player's computer might behave a bit differently but for me personally I've noticed a pretty nice FPS boost. On the flipside I feel like the game crashes a bit more often. Overall though I am glad I've updated cause there's been some nice changes to Mags (which I'm currently playing on) and some other nice quality of life stuff like animations not closing inventories. Edit: About that "prone under the truck" idea - any time I went prone in a gunfight in any situation even while in decent cover I immediately got headshot multiple times. You should never ever go prone in combat in this game I think. In that particular spot in Wild Territory as you said hiding behind the trees is not the best either but I found running along the wall to the right until I get to cover to be a decent strategy. As long as you full send it they usually don't have the time to hit you much and you get into nice cover while also getting closer so that you can actually hit them. Usually they won't push you and just sit in place so you can just stay there and peek them one at a time.
You saying not to update because of a crash was spot on. Turned out there's a bug with old saves where the game just crashes if you try to load in, meaning you have to use a mod that restores Pre 0.9.3.1 saves so they're working again. Funny that.
A majority of the comments I get regarding the state of GAMMA are almost all negative. Maybe it’s just a negative vocal minority, but most people I talk to who played GAMMA a long time ago don’t think the game is heading in a good direction
MAN, PET YOUR CAT, FOR YOU AND FOR ME. I recently lost one of my cats, 6 months old screemer... Give them all the love you can. And dont forget to pet him again.

You must re-install Hideout Furniture Expansion. Just don't tick the "rotten meat" addon when it asks. Make sure to "Replace" the files and not "Merge.
For me the Gamma balancing is heading the same way Helldivers 2 went. Balanced along opinions of people who have thousands of hours knowing to the littlest detail what is where. For me the whole upgrade system might as well no be there, it doesn't do anything. The only upgrade worth something is number of containers on suit. Or the ammount of suit that are in game. There is literally no difference between faction variants. And any difference between the others is so minimal it might not as well be there. We could shrunk it all into 4 armors : light, medium, heavy and exo armor and for me there wouldn't be any change to gameplay. Or it is simply laughable. Like removing weight from scientist rubber suit so it weights 1.2kg and I carry all of them and swap them between entering anomaly, depending on its type.
Poor armour differentiation seems to be a common issue in all these games tbh (Vanilla or modded). Adding unique stuff like wound healing or health regen upgrade help a bit, but those are a tad goofy.
But what is groks deal that he one day decided "ok now ima go against everyones wishes and fk up the game" I srsly dont get that chain of thought of his...

3:40 As a very slow player I enjoy almost all GAMMA updates (I like being poor in game) except Sin DR. But then again I know how to mod Stalker so.... ;)
Me too. And for people complaining - lower your difficulty or tweak your settings if you think you are killed unfair and too easy. Big advantage of this game is that you can tweak it to your own preferences.
Did the finally change the bullshit weapon fixing system. “Oh you need three different sets of tools to remove a barrel even tho the AK was designed to be easy to maintain”.
Fucking same man, we have played roughly around the same amount of hours i'm around 5k and every single update makes the pack less and less attractive. I just got into a huge discussion on the discord about the way the game is becoming much more linear and it used to be so much better lmao most people just haven't been around long enough to understand how different it is now. I miss my finding expert tools in radar from a random yellow, or getting a really nice gun in a southern stash like a SA58 instead of 10 ppsh's in a row. Remember when white stashes regardless of location always had a small chance to give you basic/advanced tools? Yellows used to be green stashes and unless i'm remembering incorrectly, I thought there used to be 3 tiers of stashes? I definitely remember green and white but I feel like there was a middle tier that was yellow. The UDP9 is still probably really good, it carried me into late game as my primary mutant gun. Fully upgraded with Burst and Fire Rate mods it felt much better than the UMP, i'm not sure what Grok did to the UMP but it felt fucking horrible last time I tried to use it in 0.9.3, it was very sluggish but maybe it needs upgrades.
I miss those days too. Really wish I kept an old download of the game so that I could make a video on it and show people what old GAMMA felt like. Because I’ve noticed it’s mainly new players who have no clue how it USED to play that are like “what are you talking about the game is perfect”.
@@NakedAvanger maybe im here to watch him for the commentary and expertise but i dont like watching the same thing over and over and want to watch some brain scorcher+ content?
3:35 yeah, i highly dislike the new artifacts. He should've just added the resist caps ONTO the old system. You can still see in the descriptions of artifacts that all of them still emit radiation, but there isn't any.
grok is balancing the game around the best players. He legit thinks people shouldn't be able to win Invictus and his goal with GAMMA is to create a game that is unwinnable for the Invictus playthrough. It doesn't matter what you do grok, I will always beat your design because I'm smarter than you are. Start focusing on making the game more fun and less on being punitive to a fraction of the playerbase that you're butthurt by.
You can simply turn off and on mods and addons you dont like, and balance alot of things to your likings. The only thing you need is time. I admit i took me like 2 hours to set up my playthrough but then its a really good mod. To say it again, if you want to make it easier or harder or a different here and there, you have to commit to the unfun part of digging through all the addons/mods that comes with it. Thats all really. This game is adjustable to a great extend. Dont be afraid to ask around what others have turned off/on/down/up to have a customized tailored game. I really understand the hassle to to this because its not fun. I charged my steam for STALKER 2 , still not bought, but playing GAMMA lol.
