just wanted to say i loved the analysis and i characterize c9 the same way. they take space without exposing their players to a lot of danger and then look for a reaction, unlike more aggressive teams that forcefully take positions with their flashes and decide the round during map control c9 just try to pressure and scare you as much as possible. and it usually works. they can play badly like anyone else but theres certainly no flaw about their playstyle that shows that they will consistently lose games they shouldnt.
Excellent analysis by the way. Really high quality video and agree with them using utility incredibly well to take space, but the point where they need to convert if they didn't find kills in their map control/default procedures is where they look so stressed.
Maui tweeted this video. One thing about him is he doesn’t hide from his takes. His interviewing nafany shows he stands up for his thoughts and is willing to take in more info to adjust if needed.
Super cool video; I see a lot of analysis vids out there that simply don't have great structure and organization in their scripts like you do here. If I could, maybe in parts of your videos like in 1:58, you could label each map and color code the players based on role (solo, individual/pair, pair)? Awesome thoughts nonetheless
cool video - I think this team needs a bit more diversity concerning their approach, but you're right their style on the whole is this slow methodical playing style, taking map control and letting cts sweat. So annoying to play against, I imagine. Maui kinda making a lot of hot takes these past months lol
Thank you very much! They do a good job at being diverse, but like I said in the video, when they are diverse, they can forget important parts about that, like using full utility on a fast exec, that makes it look more poor. Shore that up and they will be good at switching it up and keeping defenders on their back foot.
Most teams use utility to put themselves in a better position by being proactive, C9 uses utility to force the CTs to be proactive and punish them by with their own passivity. It perfectly fits their more passive-reactive style Great video
I am a bit confused by the format of this channel, are you hired by Cloud9 or you just really like this org/team so you focus content on it? Anyway, great analysis and good pacing/clarity, subbed.
I am not hired, just am a Cloud9 fan who always wanted someone to break down how they played and make content around them, that channel never came, so started doing it myself :).
Maui tryna frame nafany for everything that needs to be improved completely forgetting that they are all 20 yo with 1.5 year of t1 experience. Great video!

Thank you so much Launders! Means a lot. Yeah makes total sense.

Calling for nafany to be kicked is one of the worst takes I've heard in a while
