Avatasia is pure power.. the energy that makes us rise from the earth ever morning..
pretty sweet. I do like the sound of this project. Now I would like to see Angra do a similar project, their Temple of Shadows was a hit, and was much more musically complex and more aggressive than this, like "Temple of Hate", and "Spread Your Fire". They could make a hell of a concept album or a metal opera like this.
I knew it. That crowd had to be Brazilian. Quick story: I`ve chatted with the sound crew of VGL in their first concert in Rio, and they were certain that was the loudest crowd they`d played to, by far. The guy at the sound table was like "This crowd is insane!" People shouted and jumped and all... to an orchestra... :) It`s quite common for bands to say they like to play in Brazil because of the crowd.

man, I love this whole concert ...
they've missed cues a lot of time, and got the lyrics wrong at least twice... I was there and didn't notice 'till I saw it on DVD... memorable concert, it's on my top 5 for a lot of reasons... the only BAD thing is that there were at least 4 great songs that were cut off from the DVD (Breaking the Law, Crazy Me, Holy Land, Living for The Night)... that and the public cursing Bush, who, at the time, had recently invaded Iraq... such a great concert!

Andre and Tobi make good singing partners. Hearing Andre makes me miss old Angra. It must feel great for tobi to take one simple idea and it becomes this huge thing. Consider it's not even his full-time band, just something for him to unwind after work with Edguy ;))

This is Shaman feat. Tobi Sammet, not Avantasia. Anyway, very nice post! Fui num show do Shaaman na turnê do Reason e num do Edguy na turnê do Rocket Ride (o da gravação do DVD). Mas ver o André e o Tobi cantando juntos...trocaria os dois que eu fui por este! =D

I soooo much would like to have that DVD, although Eagle Fly Free kinda fluked. :P Some super special guests on that show, and it seems the band's on fire anyway. And, I'm yet to hear Distant Thunder off that release! o/

This clip is from a liveconcert on dvd with his band - Shaman, Andre was the leadsinger there. A really great dvd. The dvd is called Ritualize. Tobi and Sasha Paeth was guest singers, as well as Andi Deris with Michael Weikath performed Eagle fly free on that concert.
