People who have saved money from their pay packet for a life time, did so after the tax was taken from the pay packet. Surely to tax them for money for which they have already paid tax is illegal?? Fortunately I do not have enough money to be taxed but that does not stop me feeling sorry for those who have. Taxing something twice is surely illegal?

NI and pensions are not taxed, hence govt is taxing us after retirement

Reeves is evil like starmer. These are policys of civil servants, which other parties refused to bring in. Yet civil servants have large pensions payed by tax payer. Any decent
Party would refuse to do it.

And I don't want all my banking done on line. I have to visit my bank, which used to be virtually on my doorstep. Now I have a twenty minute drive to another town to go to a bank. How much longer will they be open???

This is all about poking big noses into the bank accounts of people to see just what pensioners are spending their money on. Are the DWP donating phones? Pensioners have worked all their lives payed taxes paid for NHS and into a pension fund and never had the luxury of tax credits if you only work 20 hours a week, they had to make do on their mans wages.
Now the government should be ashamed, no doctors appointments no proper treatment, pensioners are treated badly but remember everyone has to get old so treat as you want to be treated.
Stop the money being sent out of the country and if their children/wives are not living here then why should they have money from our country, it’s all wrong yet you always take off the elderly and disabled it’s disgusting

So the move towards a CBDC system by way of digital IDs has started. Pensioners in 2025 and then everyone else soon after to be in place for the 2030 agenda from the W.E.F.
Then, it will be easy to implement a Digital Credit Score system, just like China.

My banking group premises are to close next June and my actual bank does not have any branches in Scotland so I will have to travel 90+ miles to my nearest branch just over the border, always assuming that is even still open. Why should we have to go digital with everything. I personally prefer face to face communication when at a bank. I have been a hard working law abiding citizen all my life why should I at 79 suddenly be treated like a criminal. My bank account is nothing to do with this government or any other for that matter. I pay my taxes and always have done. The people who have never worked and always claimed benefits are the ones they should be checking on.

If you are on a low state pension how the hell do you afford smart phones or a form of computer plus an internet connection. Lets look first at those that defraud tax like the top 1% and the MP's and lords that get huge benefits when they get large salaries. Why does every government always attack the most in need first, o'yes they are an easy target.

It’s really heartbreaking to see how inflation and recession impact low-income families. The cost of living keeps rising, and many struggle just to meet basic needs, let alone save or invest. It’s a reminder of the importance of finding ways to create financial opportunities. You've helped me a lot sir Brian! Imagine i invested $50,000 and received $190,500 after 14 days

I retired in 2025, I cannot see a mobile phone screen so I don't have one, I use a large PC screen, constantly messages are sent to my wife's phone, don't know how we are going to manage as I the wife just got her cataracts done so we try to see with magnifying glasses, said to the wife, they claim this is better all these new features, in the 1970s people used the Post office and they would meet friends and go to a cafe for a cuppa and a chat. They are destroying normality and these bank checks are no different than a stranger walking up to you and saying let me see in your bag, let me see in your purse. this is tyranny dressed up as safety.
