I have the original 550 xp - I love it long time - she runs great still - hardwoods in New England. I am an Irish Cit. now - maybe I will make the jump over at retirement. I remember a family member visiting years ago from “home” and he could not believe that we just cut down big oak and cut and split for the fire. He was gobsmacked...ha ha ha.

Great idea light weight saws save the back so you can keep work in the woods. Put off the rocking chair as long as possible. Small husky s always feels good in a cutters hand and they are making them better every year. Stay safe stay well - love your vids.
Great video! Just bought the same saw but with heated handles which is nice to have in Norway. Love the saw. Especially how fast it comes up to top revs. Is the blade a 0.58/1.5 mm or a 0.50/1.3mm? What chain do you use? Cheers from Norway
I finde at -6C 18in. bar not geting enough oil .i recomend 20 and 18 inc. bars to use only at +10C and higher .For winter condition dont go ower 16inch bars .
Your speed is really quite impressive! I am curious as to how the wood is being processed afterward. Is it done by a harvester, and if so, why wasn’t it done entirely by machine?
Morning Dave, top notch felling as always, 👍 A mark two 550 is on my list, 😁 I'll probably pair it up with a 16" Sugi. Have you tried the Oregon multi cut chain?
Hello, yes have tried the Multi cut and it's a pain unless you have a diamond file or plenty of time forget it and it goes dull quicker than you would expect when onle standard file used....
@@outinthewood3578 Morning Dave, is it really that hard? I said I'd try it on my 241. I wrecked a chain off an ivy covered concrete fence post recently so I said I'd try the multi-cut.

Mark, sorry for late reply but I only just worked out why I wasn't able to post anything ! Yes the 050 would I'm sure be a little better again but it's such a nice saw to use like it's big brother the 572 smooth etc. Thanks again for the nice words !
Hi, what's your thoughts on this 20" bar? Running some skip chains? A few years back I tried a 20" Cannon bar with a 1,3mm 0.325 semi skip chain on a very steep hill. It worked ok in bench but I would never use a semi skip chain again.
Love my 550mk 2 use it for firewood cutting And harvesting firewood (felling) the farm i work at sells firewood so i use it there great saw

Finally someone that doesn't waste a whole bunch of time with wedges and stuff
Saw looks and sounds awesome! So strong for a stock 50cc, a ported one would be just awesome
Yes it's a great little saw .
What I thought.. Might get mine ported 😋

Thank you for nice words ! Yes the small and light is a pleasure to use and this m2 is a little brusier !
Just got this saw, pretty crazy acceleration! I sold a couple of stihls to get it, stihl is going down hill with some of their models.
Nice work Dave!!
Good video, I'm getting a 20" bar for my Husqvarna 550xp Mark II. 👍🌲🇺🇸🌲

It's faster and more efficient for the tree to be Brought to the landing and cleaned up processor stacked accordingly
We need moar 550 xp vids. Nice one!
Mark 2
Great skills
Did well looks like a nice view after you opened it up
Yes the Glen of Imaal is a nice spot
lol punch the exhaust filter out? Sounds loud as hell... I might do the same thing
Very good Dave. 🌲👍🏻
Thank you Brandon !
Nice video 👍 what do you think about hardwood? Maybe 20" is to much?
18" .325 does fine in hard wood with this saw

my next review indeed! waiting for the snow to melt 🤷♀️
You were moving so fast,it was a blur! Saw has enough power it seems.
Hi David, not that fast LOL
Is it normal for a saw to be able run a 16 18 and 20 bars?

The 550 m 2 just has more grunt and the "new" AT just keeps the power on.

Просто лучший 💚

how many cutters the chain has on 20"

20 seems like a little too much bar for the high rev sweet spot of it.
I'm inclined to agree with you Ron but on a bad ground with smallish stuff like this I could live with it ?
