Other creators have come and gone in my media landscape but I come back here again and again... and again because I find your videos. in turns: thought provoking, delightful, revealing, funny, healing, comforting, challenging and so many other things I can't articulate. I started "tuning in" to your channel back in 2014 as part of a life changing love affair. That affair ended, was deeply grieved and another eventually began and there was a marriage. And a child was born. And so many other things happened large and small (like my nieces grew old enough to share in Buffyverse and we've had some delightful Buffathons and late night discussions and text chains!) and through it all your videos have been a valuable touchstone. I'm deeply grateful to you for them. So watching this video (somewhat comically 10 months after you posted it) I felt compelled to let you know that, to me, your videos are one of the things that are genuinely worth the wait.

I have two favourite youtube channels (including this one obviously) and the other one has been moving away from the content I like in the past few weeks to chase views with broader/slightly dumbed down topics and videos. I've been feeling low-key sad about it so it's amazing to hear that you're going to be sticking around and not compromising at all. I would rather wait long times for videos of your quality that make me question and recontextualise both the art and myself. Take all the time you need, we'll still be here.

hey, i LOVE the content, and i want to hear your thoughts on season 6 SO much. but when you have life stuff going on, you have life things going on. and i would so much rather have creators i enjoy take care of themselves. i would much rather know that they're good than have them churn out videos that their hearts aren't really in, or still make good videos, but to be pushing themselves to an extent that they burn out and can't create anymore. so yeah, would much rather have people taking care of themselves.
I came to this channel for the incredible Buffy/Angel discussions and they really helped open my eyes to ways that the shows were fantastic that I hadn't even considered before! Also, your frequent mentions of Star Trek: tNG and how much you love it pushed me to start watching that show with my Dad (he was already a big fan) and I can't thank you enough for doing that as that show is one of my new favourites! You've made me so happy with this video. I have two favourite youtube channels (including this one obviously) and the other one has been moving away from the content I like in the past few weeks to chase views with broader/slightly dumbed down topics and videos. I've been feeling low-key sad about it so it's amazing to hear that you're going to be sticking around and not compromising at all. I would rather wait long times for videos of your quality that make me question and recontextualise both the art and myself. Take all the time you need, we'll still be here.

Good to hear from you! I hope the new job is treating you well, I find a lot of people enjoy the structure and routine of a job over being self employed. Being self employed can be really great, but it can also be really hard work especially for those of us who struggle with maintaining routines without having something external to enforce it.

Happy to hear you are ok and attending to life stuff. I love your work, and enjoy your Slayerfest 98 appearances as well. Your videos are awesome because you craft them with depth and insight, and that takes time. I'd would rather get them less frequently than have you crank out lower quality work.

hey, i LOVE the content, and i want to hear your thoughts on season 6 SO much. but when you have life stuff going on, you have life things going on.
and i would so much rather have creators i enjoy take care of themselves. i would much rather know that they're good than have them churn out videos that their hearts aren't really in, or still make good videos, but to be pushing themselves to an extent that they burn out and can't create anymore.
so yeah, would much rather have people taking care of themselves.

I came to this channel for the incredible Buffy/Angel discussions and they really helped open my eyes to ways that the shows were fantastic that I hadn't even considered before! Also, your frequent mentions of Star Trek: tNG and how much you love it pushed me to start watching that show with my Dad (he was already a big fan) and I can't thank you enough for doing that as that show is one of my new favourites!
