4500 psi is a big pressure. you can rent 75kg Nitrogen cyls with that at stock pressure.

Definitely this. I Did A Thing's hammer is basically a single shot modified nail gun using small blanks, while this shoots a way bigger piston and is semi automatic.

Тоже сначала подумал, что это по сути отбойный молот в форм факторе молота. Но такая штука будет полезна для военных спецназа или пожарных. Только сжатый воздух лучше заменить на патрон, как в пистолете для забивания дюбелей.

я искал в комментах именно Полуляха! Ведь Дью проверял именно поделку Полуляха
Там одноразовая игрушка которую делали ещё в 90х, по крайней мере в моем дворе взрывали асфальт бетон серой от спичек потом строительными патронами с соседней стройки и дошли до подобных молотков и кувалд.
Но это всё фигня, Кулибины моего двора пошли дальше, они делали взрывные трости и уничтожитель замков но когда соорудили установку "выноса" дверей к ним постучалась милиция и институт ооо" ГаражТехВзрыв" был ликвидирован а участникам дали условку по трем статьям.
А касательно этой кувалды в видео он всё сделал неверно начиная от конструкции и заканчивая прочностью как и он сам сказал. Мне как кажется нужно было взять устройство обычного пневмо молота и сделать его в формате кувалды с баком в рукоятке и выключателем а ударник во всю площадь и весом 1/4 от массы всей кувалды и будет работать аналогично Гагарин1.
Но всё равно это баловство т.к. давно уже существуют промышленные инструмент для подобных задач, плюс безопасность под вопросом.

If you run a hose through the handle, you can keep a larger air tank connected while increasing the weight of the hammer head.
Yes but shortening the distance and reducing the volume of air that needs to be pressurized before exiting the valve will increase the amount force that's immediately available. The best solution would be to keep a smaller reservoir/plenum behind the valve that can be charged by an external air source (e.g. tank or air line at the handle).

13:55 i think the trigger plate distributing the force FIRST then the bolt after is making it weaker. How about if the trigger plate is longer and loaded with a weak spring that just activates the bolt, so the timing would allow the bolt to make the first contact
Yes, he's making the first impact weaker because the trigger mechanism is acting like a car suspension system. The trigger mechanism for the bolt needs to be inside the hammer and work with inertia.
It may be silly or too difficult, but why not make the moment when the plate is fully depressed coincide with the moment when the bolt strikes in order to improve energy transfer?
@kevinvanderelst5674it would be needlessly complicated as it needs to take into account the speed of the swing everytime. And i think as long as the bolt transfers most of the energy, it doesn't really need another impact
