There comes a time when you reach such levels of car nerd-ism, that even during these wild times - they extend an invite for a private, one-man tour. And there can only be one man that has the breadth of general and obscure car knowledge to walk us through this: El Gigante himself, Brian Scotto. Enjoy this “short” video that we cut down from about 420,000 hours of video footage.
And a BIG thank you to the Petersen Automotive Museum for giving us free reign of the place!

This summer...
Brian Scotto stars in:
Literally Anything But Fixing His Own Cars
🤣🤣🤣
Dammmn. Savage. But factual.
If you guys like that, wait until the hotly anticipated sequel comes out:
Loosening A Single Rusty Bolt
Adam Baldwin It’s a trilogy. Lord of the Bolts.
Brian Scotto revenge of the spin for when he rounds a bolt
Should "Scotto Rambling on Cars" be a reoccurring thing?
Yes indeed it should be
As opposed to Scotto working on cars? I'm all for it either way.
I would like to see less cuts when he's talking about some of the cars like with the Jaguar. I personally fine his rambling really interesting.
Absolutely! I'm 5 minutes in and I already want more :)
100% YES. Scotto and Nads should BOTH have over-informative knowledge-bomb shows/segments!!! Alot of knowledgable folks at Hoonigan, maybe some more than others lol but SCOTTO and NADS are both insane wells of information! Tap into that s***!!
Scotto’s still finding ways to not work on his cars during a pandemic. Man the Napalm Nova deserves to run again!
Working on your cars, or having the whole day in the Peterson to yourself for free... yeah, tough choice there... 🤦♂️😏🤣🤣
Slotmech lol . Exactly.....
🤷🏻♂️
I want to like this comment to infinity
Would've listened to you chat about some cars in the vault for alot longer. As I get get older. I find myself more drawn to automotive history. "History lessons with Scotto"
Listen to the Past Gas podcast, goes in depth with all sorts of automotive history
Perfect bonus channel content.
@@todd1196 And Brian Loahnes, he's got great podcasts on racing, and weird and/or odd vehicles.
Man that story on the Ford GT press drive was too awesome Scotto, sick!
Thats wild. Talk about a once in a lifetime opportunity.
Then he hits us with his crazy story about a cop opening up a section of highway to see him rip one in a brand new ford gt... Scotto is a legend
I would kill for a series on the cars in the meuseum, like 5-6 min on each, 3 an ep, would be fantastic. Keep killin it my dudes
The Petersen has some great ones on their channel. Worth checking out!
@@ccb_232 Could go even beyond just the Petersen, could be local or smaller meuseums or more niche collections and pieces from around the country/world with employees being home potentially not in the LA/Cali area
I would also flat out love the whole story he held near that XKSS
Shout out to Scotto for being SO MULTIDIMENSIONAL 🤝🏾💯 GREAT lesson on the Corwin
Scotto loves letting his nerd flag fly.
I have to be honest :
When i heard Scotto said that he went to the Petersen alone, i was expecting more of a hour-and-a-half rambling video...
But hey, means that the man is contolling himself more and more.
Or they just cut all of his hilarious nerdy tangents.
AgatheLyrique this is part 1. Buckle up.
Leroy Jenkins Yup. And think of the fat they had to cut to get to 32 mins...
I always smile when I see scottos RWB
Me too
I would love to see a full unedited version of this trip!! Im sure lots of us would like to see it too. Scottos ramblings about random car facts is something I resonate with.
I love this type of content. As always, crazy knowledge from Scotto, thanks man!
Not our normal type of stuff, but during these crazy times, we figured we’d mix it up and deliver what ever we find interesting.
@@TheHoonigans Scotto&Nads Both nerdy car guys, I could watch all day!
Scotto, I was typing some history about the XKSS because it is possibly my favorite car in the World, and I feel, seriously under-appreciated. Then I watched the section of the video and you nailed it 1,000% as only an American kid with Jag owning parent could. This is one of the best RUclips videos I have seen in some time.
Please Scotto upload every second of your rambling's and nerding out. Love it!
Can we get the uncut rant about the xk ss, maybe on bonus channel?
including the parts where he forgets to turn on audio
I agree
right! that's what I was thinking why cut him and edit it out. Maybe some people want to know more of what hes talking about instead of goku punching him.
dude that Porsche, I'm in love with it.
I love Scotto showing off that automotive brain of his. He’s got a great and entertaining way of teaching and showing a genuine love of all things automotive.
This is one of my FAVORITE Hoonigan videos, definitely top five, no lie, cannot wait for the continuation. (Maybe we should have "Brian rambles about iconic cars" as a weekly feature?)
Dudes! Please stop editing brian's rants! I clicked this for a history lession because I F**king love Cars! Let me hear Proffesor Scotto's lecture FFS!
Couldn't agree more I was quite annoyed with the XKSS editing
I almost wish the ford GT story was saved for an episode of vinwiki with scotto. great story.
Love this video. Great cars, great stories and great production for one person! Hope the e-type is still in the vault when museum re-opens. It’s my all time favorite!
I love hearing someone talk about their passion, especially someone who is knowledgeable. Great video!
I like how the magnum pi 308 just happens to be in lot #69
Antonio Rodeiguez according to Scotto, your mom certainly noticed that fact...👌😎👈
[Saddam Hussein] "not that bad of a dictator" -Brian Scotto
Sarcasm, it's like pizza in NYC.
@@TheHoonigans 😉👌😂😂
Hoonigan not as good as Chucky Cheese ?
@@Halliday57 not as good as Round Table.
I’d argue Stalin was worse... and for the record, NYC makes pizza, everyone else make bread with marinara.
why is this video edited? Just upload the raw footage. I want to see everything!
I went to this museum last year and it was awesome. It's even more amazing to walk it alone. Very jealous. Thanks for the content though, great vid!
Scotto's Lost his mind, Again! how tired but how excited seeing iconic car alone and no one can disturb. I feel some ghost energy in this museum, hahahahaha
Petition to have the Hoonigan VHS uploads in 4K so we can enjoy Scotto rants in full HD on our TV's!
Love this kind of content, Scotto's knowledge on these cars is endless and I love to hear and see that level of passion for so many cars.
I love it how everytime I see normal cars that are bought in forza I overlook them but when i see these kinda stories about them I always feel guilty
definitely, when you see videos like this it makes you appreciate the millions of dollars of cars you have in forza
Forza used to have this thing called autovista that had commentary and facts about certain cars
This was an absolutely brilliant episode. I love hearing you nerd out and talk to yourself about unique and interesting cars. Your Ford GT story gave me chills. Love it!!
listening to Scotto talk about cars with that passion is great
Scotto, these cars hold a lot of value and so do your stories. Thanks for sharing
I love that Scotto has his own business and I love that it’s soo successful. The wealth of knowledge I wish you could speak more on, videos like this are addictive, very addictive. Keep it up and appreciate the work all of Hoonigan does, don’t change
Scottos passion really shows, love watching his enthusiasm for cars.
Ive seen another video on the vault, but Scotto has done the best job, look at how well this video was shot and its him alone, how he stays in frame but out the way n whomever did the editing is O.P!!! Very awesome video!!!
Zacs listening somewhere going GAWD DAMN!!!! 🤣🤣
man, NOW I have total respect for Scotto, stopped at the D-type and the EB-110 (the LAST Bugatti) two of the most epic cars ever! this dude really knows where the treasures are at. The perfect buddy go to the Peterson with, thanks for the video
Love Steve McQueens jag, saw it on display in the Peterson in 2016, learned alot more about it today, thanks Scotto
I don't know about anyone else, but I could listen to Brian talk for hours about all of the stories, stats, history or whatever else about these cars. No story or statistic or factoid is too obscure or mundane when presented with the kind of passion that Brian obviously has about these cars. There's so much that Brian has wrapped up in that brain of his, let the man talk!
I was so hype when Scotto announced this video the other day on stream.. Been waiting on a revisit of this.. The first video with the walk around is one of my favorite Hoonigan vidoes of all time. Having Nads there to spit knowledge was amazing, Hert geeking out was fun.. and of course having Brad there to almost be kicked out. lol
Honestly, this might just be my favourite of all the series you've put out. More Scotto nerding out at museums!!
Yeah!
Seriously Scotto we neeeeeeed a series of your stories!!! Spill em all!
I love the petersen museum. So cool youre doing this. Underrated for car enthusiasts
I loved hearing about the history of all these. I need more Scotto car history
You can tell the passion for cars. Good job Scotto keep the series going!
I went to LA for a weekend just so I can see the Japanese classics exhibit before it got moved, it was well worth the trip from NY to be able to experience it i had to hold back tears from when I entered and saw the Yellow bird as soon as I walked through the doors. once all this madness is said and done with im going back for at least a week just to spend more time there.
8:29 he got me, I was betting on 81
I feel same way about new GT. And I love that 1of1 Carbon EB110 in Cali you see driving around. So dope.
Can we please get an uncut version? I’d love to listen to Scotto nerd out a lil’ longer.
Me too!
YOUR A LEGEND DUDE on some real real tho thank you for all that you’ve brought to the world of car lifestyle appreciation and most especially ART
I always love getting to hear Scotto drop knowledge on random cars!
I would 100% watch a "the ramblings of scotto" series
At least he admits he rambles.
I would too!
Thank you for making content for us in this trying time Brian, entertaining and educational
Been to this museum, it is totally worth the trip. I did not get to see the vault, thanks for this.
Scott in the 308 looks like the caricatures in your thumbnails. Thanks for the nerd-out, bro. Its a shame theres a quarantine, but you capitalized on it!
XKSS was my first model car as a kid. Such a crazy car and technologically ahead of its time.
best video yet. that would be my dream just being around all that history and have it to myself. keep it up
This is dope..watching the whole series. Btw, Jay Slacks Corrado was the reason why I parked up my scirocco and bought a green slc. Supercharged VR was drool back in the day son...
Scotto you are like the big brother that everyone wants. Great content
i could watch this all day
love scotto nerding out
I really enjoyed this, thanks Scotto !!! The Jag is probably my favorite as well.
I could listen to Scotto's anecdotes all day long!
Knew you were a car guy Brian, but never knew how much of a car guy you were. To get so excited about these on-site and vastly different cars really is cool
Honestly could probably watch 69 episodes of this. Your abstract knowledge murders most "now you know" RUclips shows. Super entertaining 😬
This was awesome it was scotto hilarious mind blown and nobody around him to express his enjoyment except the camera. Please do more stuff like this maybe send hert to nascar museum or vinny but no nads haha
I could watch this kinda content for hours on end, cant wait for the rest of the episodes
I have nothing else to do at the moment, so I would've easily watched 8 hours or more of this
Love watching this episode. You guys also should visit famous garages, car collections and other car shops like westcoastcustoms, gi automotive , RDBLA and many more. Great work!
He just parked the rwb and this already the greatest thing ever fuck yes way to go guys I would honestly watch hour or more videos of this
I’ve touched that jaguar before hahahaha don’t tell the security at the museum thooo
Yes for stopping on the EB110. One of them in that bright Blue is my dream car.
This seems so fun, hope you"re enjoying it
I’ve literally been wanting to go to a museum so thanks for this😂
its honestly so great seeing scotto excited abou the d type
You crack me up Scotto, love watching you chat about cars 👍🤣
You should nerd out in the museums a lot more... this video was so good... Keep up the good work you guys do
25 years ago I got to live that experience.. it's great to (as you said) "not to be rushed." We did have the director at the time kinda guide us, and the collection was no where near as large as it is today.
👍🏼👍🏼
brain is awesome. this was well worth my time thanks hoons with love from detroit
Ford GT story was wild. Multi-scotto photography, with the Bugatti as the subject, was a clean shot and the cuts of scotto without audio had me dying. Cool to see boss man content.
👍🏼
Thanks Scotto I bet it was a ton of fun I really enjoyed it.
I’m watch the entirety of everyone of these videos, so satisfying 😍
i went to the Peterson automotive museum about a year ago, and except for the vault, i think they have changed almost everything in there.
Enjoyed every second of this, cant wait till next week im sad its over
Yo Scotto if you don’t write a book I’m gonna be PISSED. 👍 so many loonngg winded great priceless stories
Lucky man, what a day!!!! Thanks for all the great content
This was great! Loved the FDR story!
Love this type of content guys!! Cannot wait to see part 2!
Definite sight to see. People only dream to be able to have access to the vault, let alone be able to go see the museum. One day I want to attend, though wont be as VIP as Brian's, LOL
The cockpit of the faraday, is hermetically sealed so no air can enter the cabin. That's why the helmet is needed, if you look at what you called the halo device, that's where the helmet plugs in for water and air. The water is only needed for long races. And yes we have taken it on the road.
Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee. I'm pretty sure Ali is credited for being the first person to 'rap',his trash talk was so smooth and flowed from Ali so effortlessly that he was rapping to his opponent while they were fighting.
OMG beers with Scotto would be amazing. Lets Go NERD! Cheers.
What a great video. "Actual Scotto Footage" of Scotto driving the Ford GT- I remember that day. That was either Jay Slack, or Tony Harmer filming out of my GTI up in Bear Mtn. What a great day that was. I remember when Scotto was turning the corner onto the West Side Highway, some random dude walking down the street yelled "Damn! That car is hotter than a Colombian hooker with a gram of coke in her pocket! LOL.
I'm legit ok with this being a 69 part series, scotto knows so much random interesting shit about so many cars, and keeps it chill. Take notes Nads
For all of us on the other side of the world who will never see the Petersen Museum, this is so nice.
The story of the corwin Getaway is crazy. Props to the peterson for getting such a forgotten car from the local area
Added to favorites just because Magnum's 308 GTS. My favorite car of all times.
Dammit, this is how I would love to visit the museum. Time to figure out a way to unleash a crazy cart race among all the rare cars
I love Scottos enthusiasm for jaguar. you should come to england and hoon some new jags with us.
I remember GM's first modular electric platform concept, in the same shape as the faraday skateboard, just in case you wanted your roadster to have the same underpinnings as a minivan.
bloody amazing work Scotto
incredible place
