this looks great . just a tip . it is so much easier if you crumble the sheet and dunk the whole thing in the mixture . save a little for the top , it gets wonderfully brown n delicious . but this way is cool also . or just brush the top with melted butter before baking . ty so much for sharing your way . i will try it . have a great rest of the weekend !!!!
Met this gentleman many years ago - he can plaaay that accordion! A whole-hearted Croat, but very respectful of Serb brethren and our South-Slavic (or Illyrian Slavic) traditions. Yes, we share so much, including gibanitsa. I prefer our Morava (Serbia's) version, but would love to try this. Veliki pozdrav iz Beograda!
Man does that ever look familiar ! I can almost taste it ! Now that my mother is gone I'm going to have to start baking it ! Greetings from 🍁 norh of Toronto !!!
You should’ve beat the cheeses together to smooth it out first then add the eggs 1 at a time then the rest of the ingredients. Then you can dip the sheets. Watch Chef Baba’s video on how to do it if you want authentic!!
🇭🇷chef Baba uses cottage cheese, cream cheese, eggs, sparkling water and olive oil for the filling. Her recipe is from Yugoslavia/Serbia and is the real deal. feta cheese, and yogurt is perhaps the Greek version.
Actually, there is no such a thing as a Croatian Gibanica. It's Serbian traditional dish and you got it wrong in few aspects. I suggest people look other videos from Serbia for truly original way of making Gibanica.
Gibanica is a Serbian national dish not Croatian! It’s from all the Serbs who used to live there before ethnic cleansing etc. Also, Morović is a Serbian surname but i’m guessing your family assimilated to avoid getting discriminated against. Also, to make gibanica properly, you ought to be dunking the filo into the mixture and then layering! You don’t put butter between the layers 🤦🏽♀️ Butter doesn’t go into a gibanica!
"Before Columbus discovered America,Serb were already there." "Ancient Greeks were illeterate untill Serbs taught them to write ." "All languages originate from Serbian." "Icelanders,Swedes and Norwegians are definetly Serbs,no doubt." "Serbs are the oldest nation in the world." etc………
NIJE BITNO ODAKLE JE SPIZA GLAVNO DA JE DOBRO ZA POJIST TREBAMO SE SVI VOLIT I POSTIVAT USLAST POZ IZ SPLITA ALI GIBANICA JE SASVIN NESTO DRUGO IMA 4 FILA TJ, NADJEVA
