I expected more networks to do tributes that weekend but not really happened
I remember hearing of Robin's death at my 1st SOS ( Survivors of Suicide) meeting just after my good friend had passed from Suicide. It was sad and surreal because Robin Williams was one of his faves!
Robin Williams died because he had severe, undiagnosed, Lewy Body Dementia. And was misdiagnosed as having Parkinson’s. They mentioned this but it also mentioned he had “depression”. He didn’t die because he was “depressed”. He died because he had severe, undiagnosed dementia and was left unattended. Nobody would say that someone with undiagnosed schizophrenia, given medication for a disease they didn’t have and left unattended; that they “committed suicide”.
@@karenhearne7112 Robin Williams died because he had Lewy Body Dementia!!! Robin Williams had advanced dementia and should have never been left unattended. And I find it sick and dangerous when people who haven’t had a Science class since 8th grade , declare that someone who had an organic brain disease, “died of depression “. 😑
Hey, I use to think so too but things have changed, and people are less about you and more about them. I remember a few years ago when one of my favorite Soap Opera stars passed. His name was Rosco Born but I remember him as Mitch Lawrence the sexy villain on One Life to Live. (Man, I can remember LOL well I just wanted there to be something happier than what I'm about to say) His death came out of the blue even though he was 70 because I had never even heard he had a cold and poof he was gone. Well as it turns out they finally listed his cause of death. It was suicide and they said it was from Bipolar disease. I remember getting mad because they wouldn't even say depressed; little did I know the worst was yet to come. When Naomi Judd died it took a day for them to list it and the way they kept going around it was clear what had happened. Finally, they came out and admitted suicide but again they had to slap on that bipolar. I know now why that bothers me so much. It hit me when I saw it in writing. People can't admit that someone was suffering from depression. I guess because the ones left behind might be judged as uncaring, so they name a condition rather than just admitting their family member was just too sad to live. It might sound mean and judgmental, but I feel that someone's death is not the time for other people to save face. Why not say the person was depressed or sad and not worry about who's at fault? Chances are we just want to pray over them not blame you for them not being here.
Cameron Boyce was a fantastic actor and a fantastic person. I remember a 2nd grader I worked with that summer was understandably upset.
