From canvas toning to glazing and layer building, this video covers every aspect of creating a large scale mural with aerosols. This is the very first video of its kind, teaching a large scale mural, using custom mixed GBX3 transparent and opaque aerosol paints. Bio: Spawned in a little sleepy town of Santa Maria, CA he later moved under the care of his loving grandparents whom were well educated and bilingual, so English and Spanish were taught simultaneously. His first job was airbrushing t-shirts at the local mall in 7th grade, where he learned to persuade the ladies with his charm into buying an airbrushed t-shirt to help support his love for comic books and video games.
Fast forward through many years of graffiti art, you can now find Gear in Las Vegas doing what he loves best, original one off a kind art. He combines the hardcore hot rod garage attitude from his dad, with the artistic talent that was passed down by his mother, to create the original works you see today that come straight from the heart. Gear now-a-days has jacked into the binary realm of digital creation using his trusty digital tablet to open up programs like Photoshop, Maya's 3d software and Corel's Painter, to create worlds and creatures saturated with life and color that can be truly called original. At the same time, you will see the hardcore street style of his many years as a graffiti artist shine through. Gear is also well known for his live painting in Las Vegas, where he pumps out killer large mural pieces and eye popping UV Body Painting. Gear can be found painting large wall murals with an airbrush or spray can, making digital art on his computer that can then be rendered onto anything with an airbrush or whatever else he can get his hands on. Bottom line is, he has an amazing arsenal of styles, tools, techniques, media and talent that make what he does one of a kind.
