I'm working in my 1989 ford bronco 5.8 4x4 eddie bauer, finding modern interior for it! I like the job you did gives me hope lol
We had fun with this project! We are finishing up a 1977 Blazer - but we are going to keep the Blazer for awhile - it is a fun one to drive!
Very nice I've been redoing my 93 flareside 4x4 for 2yrs hopefully I can spray some paint on it this year
Good luck!
That turned out great, I’m mildly jealous of places where rust free stuff abounds, I’m kinda partial to that color grey, we painted my cousins first truck that shade of grey, and we had a lot of fun in that truck. I hope the new owner enjoys it that way I know I would 😉
Thanks 👍 Definitely a perk of the Arizona dry heat!
@@DIYOnTheHouse i have a 1990 bronco im restoring, its super rusty but this summer ill finally be able to drive it lol
@@joesieg4444 Fun! We would love to see pictures. email diyonthehouse@gmail.com
Thank you
You're welcome!
I love your bronco! Hi frommexico!
Thanks!!
I just got a 1990 Ford Bronco off my brother. I have been trying to trade or buy it from him for 18 years and I finally got it. It runs great with only 95 thousand miles but needless to say it was abused. He never cleaned or washed it and had it sitting for 8 year's in the back yard. I hope I'll be able to make it look good again.
Sounds like a treasure! Our son has a 91 Bronco that they are restoring, I think they are going to wrap it soon. We love that era of Broncos. Have fun with your project. If you think of it, email us pictures at diyonthehouse@gmail.com
Man this is so cool! I’m about to pick up a 90 Bronco as well and I love the color you chose. Was there a paint code or number that you chose for this gray? Would love to get as close as possible to it!
I can't remember the color code, but it was from Restoration Shop. I didn't like the way it went on it seems to thin. I have used Summit Racing single stage on 3 vehicles and have much better results with it. Good luck on the project! I will probably do another Bronco to. The parts were easier to come by at the bone yard.
😍❤️💞😍 BRONCO
Hey man! I’ve got a ‘89 I just picked up. Wondering what kind of lift and tires you had on that ? That’s pretty much the same look I’m going for
Congratulations. I think the lift was 2", and I can't remember the tire size. I wish I would have kept it.
❤️
👍
AWESOME truck,
I have a 1989 Ford Bronco 4x4 XLT Full Size 5.0 ci with 5 speed manual i bought this Truck in 1990 it had 40,000 miles on it now it Just turn 107,000 miles, i am in Michigan and kept it in the Garage..
it has Very little rust and i am planning on painting it hopefully before winter, How was the body before you started ? and how long did you spend on it ?
The body panels were in good condition, I spent over a 100 hours on it.
I am looking at a 1988 Ford Bronco that needs interior to be gutted. It has a 5.0 engine that runs well (supposedly a newer or rebuilt) and transmission is working. I just had it inspected and there are a number of leaks, stering box is loose, blower not working, rust on the roof, and several other issues. How much did it cost you to fix it up? I don't have the skills to fix it myself.
We had $4500 in ours. $2500 purchase price and $2000 in paint and parts. Our Bronco was already
primed. I made probably 15 trips to the salvage yard for interior and exterior parts. It was nice that the ford f series trucks has the same parts which gave me a chance to be picky on the condition of the used parts.
The previous owner had already purchased all the weather strip. So the rest was hunting and lots of labor.
Good luck on the possible project.
I love this truck dome years a go a have 72 bronco whit 302 v8
Sweet!
What type of lift and tire and wheel sizes. Looks great nice stance
Thanks! The tires were 35 and the wheels were 15.
Thank you for replying. Is that a 4 inch lift or 6 I did not see drop down bracket on front axle.
@@vgallardo6087 Boy - I don't remember, I believe it was a 4", it came with the lift already on it.
Would like to know if you restore other people's cars I've got an 89 trans am I want to restore
Sorry, I just do it for a hobby.
Can you hit us with some numbers?
Like what did it cost to buy?
How much went into new parts?
And what did it sell for?
Love to rebuild some classics in my area
We bought it cheap from our son for $2500 (he got it 'free' in a trade and had already bought quite a few new parts before we got it) and had a total investment of around $4500 in it - numerous trips to the junk yard and parts online. Our interior was bad. It already had primer when we got it. We sold it for $9500. We just finished a 1977 Blazer - it looks super cool, we almost have the video done!
Looks too nice to sell.
Thanks!
