This drumless backing track is in 5/8 odd time. Since you're counting in eighth notes, it's easiest to break the meter down into groups of 2 and 3. I'm counting ONE-two-ONE-two-three for most of the track. At the end of the song, I'll switch this every four bars to make the accents on the One and Four: ONE-two-three-ONE-two. It was a pain to line my guitar up to that, but it sounds all the better.

The temp is 216BPM. The 1/8 gets the beat in 5/8 and the 1/8th note is 216BPM

Makes sense, I was just going off what my DAW said. Thanks for the info.

This is great but the shredding is way too loud.

Well, I AM a guitar player! Seriously though, I mixed these earlier tracks with headphones-- really wish I could go back and improve the quality!
