It is a good attitude to adopt yourself, for at home fixes. It helps to know that you won't be making anything worse. Give it a shot. The worst that happens is that your broken item is still broken. It's a good attitude to have.
If you think I've got nothing better to do on Christmas day but watch you fix stuff, then your right. I could be watching Home alone with my wife, so thanks for saving from that. A happy Christmas to you and yours. ❤
When you need shrink tube to be stiff, you can use the 3:1 variety lined with glue. It's very good on cracked screw receptacles and similar applications.
❤🧡💛💚💙💜🤎 FUN FACTS about the Nordic countries. They celebrate Christmas already on the 24th of December, not the 25th like many other countries. Merry Fixmas Steve ❤🧡💛💚💙💜🤎
Merry Christmas Steve! Thank you for the content and giving me the confidence to try repairs in my own life. I repaired my 93 year old grandmother's beloved 1975-ish sewing machine. She was beyond happy to have her sewing machine back. She's too old to try to learn the new machines and the simple ones just don't last long (her words).
That original speaker looks just like the one they put in the OG Gameboy. I never would've guessed you'd be able to repair the speaker! I usually throw away old puny speakers and put in a replacement one.
Nice one, Steve! I've been trying to resolder wires like that myself and they jeep shrinking or hiding in the plastic. Never thought a thicker one might help 😅
Merry Christmas, Dave! I love your videos. They are fun to watch and also learn. You and Vince are my 2 go-tos for fun videos about repairing home stuff. Merry Fixmas!
Reason #3 not to update the plastic counter: You knew going in it was going it be melted. The spirit of the counter is to track when the last time you accidentally/unknowingly melted plastic.
Steve, just thinking ahead of the game here.... you might not want to use "fixmas". Because following that format, new years would become fappy new years. LOL See the issue there? >> runs and snickers
"the wheel isn't spinning and there's no sound"
That's probably a blessing in disguise regarding the sound.
Merry Fixmas Steve and Dave
correct
I love the attitude "Well it's broken anyway, so let's have a go" is priceless.
It is a good attitude to adopt yourself, for at home fixes.
It helps to know that you won't be making anything worse.
Give it a shot.
The worst that happens is that your broken item is still broken.
It's a good attitude to have.
If it's already broken and you break it more, it won't be more unusable.
Should be a slogan on a tshirt.

The first word doesn't start with F so it'd be more like Happy Few Fears, or Happy New Fears (my favorite of the choices).
