I've noticed there is almost always a mistake in a test, but in a real emergency, it's almost flawless, except for the guy talking has terrible quality on the sound, which makes it difficult to hear, especially when the furnace that heats your apartment is right next to your radio, and when you get a flash flood warning for the area around you then a warning for YOUR county, you want to know what the hell he's saying. It's just nearly impossible.

Bri J. Williams No, it wasn't announced by a lawnmower. The microphone wasn't working well, but as you can hear in 1:24 the volume of the microphone was too loud. The announcer still had his normal voice.

I see what happened here, but I'm guessing. So there were only 2 Header Bursts, and there are supposed to be 3(EAS IS ILLUMINATI). So the message didn't get correct information, and that's why you hear that music that TTS voices probably like to dance to.
The EAS here used to have a voice like that but they fixed it. And our monthly tests are at 11:45 pm when I'm still awake and it scares the crap out of me.
Should alternate every month in Ohio. One month early AM RMT, next month PM RMT, originating at Columbus, rinse, repeat. Then should be a test originating from LP-1:and then LP-2. I still do not understand why they don't run at least one test a year from NOAA Weather Radio? Also, new software for EAS box now favors the Internet IPAWS data over a terrestrial PEP signal.
First in 2001, then 10 years later, WBNX screws up again. Thank goodness, The CW WWHO 53 hardly has any EAS's after a show being glitchy(they usually just air it during a show).

It's scary knowing this technology has been around for 30 years, and we STILL can't get it right! Even after we switched to digital television, which should've made issuing these alerts easier!
Wow, someone needs to stop vacuuming during the test.
Infinite Phantasm YOU JUST MADE MY DAY XD X'D😀😁😂😀😁😂😀😁😂😀😁😂
If your vacuum sounds like that, take it to a vet.
Nah, they let a broken washing machine to talk
It's an error that made the test play the audio multiple times, I've seen that happen on other channels.
But it's not the November 2011 national EAS test.
Let's see: 2 header tones instead of 3, music playing in the background, then the longest beep ever distorts into HOOONK! BUZZZZ! HISSSS! wtf haha

WBNX is literally the only station that I've seen which runs music in the background of their EAS tests, most of the time, it's not even hearable haha

not quite. it’s more likely related to signal degredation as it cascades through multiple relays.
The text on the top is too big, and the music in the background is really cheesy. Ohio EAS must be very bad.
