Dell is so strange. They seem to make very decent graphics cards in terms of size and thermals for a budget build- which is no easy job. Yet when it comes time to make a Gaming PC that doesn't suck, they seem to intentionally make them with weird parts and terrible thermals.

To he honnest I would avoid to getting GPU from Dell , I rathere would go for some brand name like ASUS , Palit , EVGA , Gainward ,MSI beause I feel those kind of GPU sell more = have larger user base = if case of any issues community will have fix .

Haha yeah they should just keep it simple in my opinion. Bigger cases with more airflow and fans. Some of the cards are good on their own but suffer when stuffed inside a tiny proprietary enclosure

I've seen these reviewed before and they are something twice unusual: A good looking Dell product and one that works really well. I don't see this is the new 1080ti, that's pushing it a bit, but the new 1060 6GB as it'll be the go to affordable play everything at reasonable settings while keeping both of your kidneys card.

I have an Acer Nitro5 laptop with 3060 6GB vram and i5 11400h. Laptop version is a little slower than regular 3060 due to limited TDP (cpu-z reports 80W, Afterburner shows sometimes 90W). Also 6GB might not seem as too much, but it is enough for this little beast. Ray tracing is pretty useless in Cyberpunk, but otherwise the game runs pretty well. And I switched to this from older laptop with 1650Ti (Ti was a mobile version of regular 1650) - no comment needed here, I suppose. I'm really happy with this GPU and this laptop didn't cost me a kidney to buy. Thanks for another vid RGinHD, cheers!

Still running my 1080 Ti on a X370 Taichi with a 5800X3D. My old 1700X just found new life in a secondary build paired with.... the 3060 from my brother as he decided to upgrade to a 4080. Yep, I got both of these awesome cards. There shouldn't be a major difference in performance between the 3060 and the 1080 Ti (which explains why used cards are basically around 200 € here in Germany). The third card to fulfill the trio would be the 750 Ti I guess. Seems like I need to get one of those ^^

i'd like to point out, compared to other vendors the stock power limit is actually 30w lower and that's probably because of the 5 power phases powering the gpu core. so its most likely underperforming but that does not mean you should flash other bio's to it since it's probably not doing to good in terms of heat already in the power delivery area of the card

These lower-end cards with "too much of VRAM for performance" at launch exactly thanks to that always end up being great card for long years. Especially nowadays when we have DLSS/FSR, so additional opportunity to make our cards stronger or usable for longer. Not even mention budget workstations. The same story will be with one of the most hated cards ever - 4060 Ti 16GB. It's hated to the point that majority is probably not conscious how cheap it became from it's launch - in Poland you can get 16GB for 10% more than cheapest 8GB and it's quite significant 20% reduction from original 16GB's MSRP.

Try opening task manager and check if you have any processes running in the background that are using CPU GPU, or memory that might be slowing down your computers overall performance a lot of times, you need to go into the settings of Microsoft edge and disable it from running in the background if you want to disable Microsoft edge from running in the background, you need to first open Microsoft edge click on the settings on the left side of the screen, you will see system and performance click that then after that, click the toggle off the part that says continue running background apps click the on off make sure it’s not blue also toggle off the setting that says start up boost. This will free up memory and a bit of CPU usage but you might want to thoroughly check if there are any other apps running in the background that are using resources on your computer by checking task manager that may be the problem that you are having if not, then you need to check your CPU temperatures by downloading hardware info, 64, and seeing if you are thermal throttling any of your hardware you have installed I hope this helps….. oh one more thing you might want to smash the delete button on Start Up to go onto your bios to see if you have XMP enabled for your RAM memory if XMP is not enabled then enable it to assure that your ram is working at optimal speeds and make sure you have the correct graphic drivers installed on your GPU

    • @anthonyroman218

Oh, one more thing if you are using a RTX 3060 M which is basically a graphics card that is using a graphics card meant to be used on a laptop, but has been soldered and retrofitted onto a normal graphics card platform will hinder performance as well so you might want to check if you have a 3060M graphics card that only has six GB of memory instead of 12 GB of memory the M stands for mobile

Interesting results. I am getting similar average FPS in Cyberpunk, with better lows, and with maybe 2 3 settings on Ultra. But i am getting wastly better frames in Starfield without latest update and with FSR, game is also set with some settings on Ultra and others on High, scaling 80%, with rx 6800 and 5700x. 🤔

I bought a ZOTAK RTX 3060 12GB to pair with a RYZEN 9 5900x, I'm on a budget and will eventually go for a higher spec card, thankfully I am not a gamer so the CPU and the 12GB of GPU VRAM are okay for now.

Hello from the future (2024), if you can find a good deal on really any 3060 or 3060-Ti it's still a superb choice for the budget conscious gamer. If you're really tight, even a 3050 works just fine for most titles, but Ray Tracing isn't really an option with that card. I'm even seeing 4060s on the market for similar prices now, just be aware of the 8GB limitation on certain models of the latter card if you care about 1440p/4K gaming.

He reviewed a P620 which is almost the same thing, it's basically a 1050 with some cores disabled. I own one myself in my living room PC and it's mostly used for streaming to my 4K TV, in which it works just fine. If you want to play older titles or some eSports games with low settings it's perfectly capable of that. You can also play Roblox and Minecraft in 4K believe it or not!

I incredibly lucked out on this this week as I found one of these selling for 3500CZK (125 GBP on 26/11/2023) and was a bit intrigued why it had two 8pin connectors, as it is usually made with just one 8pin. The seller was a recycler and thought it was an OEM 3060, listed it as such and it was sold for spares as "fans are not working" (they are working just fine, I assume he just never put any load on it so they were in the fan stop mode) and it came from non working alienware PC that he was stripping down. It ended up being Dell's OEM 3090. Looks exactly the same but the headsink is a bit bigger and has 2 8pins (same with 3080).
Needless to say it is going into my main rig and the 3070 I have in the rig right now is going into the HTPC the OEM 3060 was meant to go in. Now to find a waterblock for it to plug it into my loop.
