I’m a 19 year old guy and this is my favourite Taylor album lmao. When you called Last Kiss meh and Dear John boring I was a wee bit shocked, they’re in my top five of speak now alongside sparks fly, haunted and my favourite song of all time in Enchanted, but each to their own. Hope you make it to her concert.
@@colosheepclassysongs3484 it’s basically all too well before all too well. It’s long and you can just feel the hurt from the lyrics, her voice and the melodies. I adore it
I love that you were honest, *but* I think something inside of me broke a little when you said that "Never Grow Up" and "Long Live" are alright. "Never Grow Up" makes me cry as a young adult now, realizing exactly what Taylor meant when she wrote those lyrics. I would argue that it is one of her first emotionally mature songs, recognizing the aging process and valuing time with your loved ones before they are gone.
Part of why she wrote it alone is because people were claiming she didn’t write any of her songs, that her writing credit was tokenistic/not real & that a teenage girl couldn’t have written the songs on Fearless. So she decided to do an entire album on her own. That doesn’t mean producers didn’t have opinions/contribute to how the songs sound. Re: dear John I would recommend watching her performance of it from the Speak Now tour - it’s kind of cheesy but also so compelling & made me see the song in a whole new light - her taking her power back from a situation in which she was powerless.
@wujuwju im a woman, been listening to taylor swift since speak now and i genuinely believe on a surface level it is a cringy album. many of the the songs are cheesy and have little to no depth. with that said, it’s a genuinely good album. it’s catchy and songs like dear john or haunted have really stuck with me though the years. i understand as swifties we feel the need to violently defend taylor but sometimes it just comes across as pathetic.

@@Im_Julissa im more so talking about the jumpscare of hearing that phrase after a beautiful ending to a song. I highly doubt taylor making that opening was intentional to the track order
@@CommanderNam she has mentioned it before. She choose to follow a happy and sad song pattern. Yes, it sure doesn’t flow in the beginning but makes more sense later
speak now is my favorite taylor swift album because i became a fan of hers after the release of mine and listened to the whole album religiously in middle school (i remember listening to "last kiss" after i stopped talking to one of my best friends in 8th grade and crying about it even though i had never even kissed anyone ... well it took me a few years to realize maybe i just liked her and didn't realize it. fun times). i'm aware it isn't her best work but it has so much meaning to me, and i think that's why so many people have it as their favorite taylor swift album too
Actually she had to write alone because she was on the fearless tour while writing and she didn’t have any writer at hand while touring lol so she chose not to have a co writer. She said that she had written a lot of songs during that time and it was difficult to narrow it down. I’m also a new swifty and what i like about this album is how she can pinpoint a feeling and describe it easily in a way that most people can relate. She wrote these songs when she was 18-20y. That’s also impressive. I’m looking forward to watching your next video ❤🎉
to be honest, the "lid" on speak now is it not being rerecorded yet. It neverreally had its moment. SN being between Fearless and Red it just kinda drowned and weirdly had no radio hits (?? like how). She has been teasing Speak now TV for a year now ... get it together girl and drop that bomb on us. I love this album BECAUSE of the repetitiveness and consistency I really love the strings, the guitar, and the piano. It just has a certain vibe that I love and can’t find a lot of songs that have that sound that I love. Also it has 5/10 of my fav Taylor songs Haunted, Dear John, Back to December, Never Grow Up, and I Can See You are all in my top ten.
Speak now has so many unexpected bops! I love that she could write it by herself (except if this was a movie), it’s just such a fun album. It’s not her best, most thought out and elaborate album, but I love it because it makes me have a good time!
I can see why it’s such a fan favorite, I think everybody can like at least one song on this album, and as an overall album it’s really good. I think my fav has to be last kiss, the emotion, and I LOVE the bridge, but I think this album is just incredibly subjective as a whole, and I think it’s proof that Taylor swift can write and honestly is best writing by herself.
speak now is my favorite album but it’s not because she’s the sole writer. it’s definitely because the songs are just some of the most fun ones to sing for me and i love the vibes and lyrics. so many of the songs are ones you can scream along to with a group of friends yknow. speak now album just feels magical and nostalgic
Finally someone else who likes Innocent! I like how vulnerable that song is.. Though Taylor should have cringe a little rerecording it after Reputation. :')
I can't stop crying. The same feeling when Fearless and red tv was announced came rushing back to me, but this time it's more intense. Speak Now is my whole childhood, I grew up with this album and I can't believe it's getting rerecorded in the most unexpected time. Never grow up, Enchanted, Haunted, and Innocent= I can't wait!
I always liked Innocent. I thought it was so kind and graceful. I didn't listen to it very often, though. However, there was one day in college when the dean of the chapel was holding a Taize service, and I went, and in one of the quiet moments, the chorus of Innocent unearthed itself from my long-term memory (I hadn't listened to it in a long while) and came to the forefront of my mind, and it was so comforting to me. It felt like Taylor Swift had written the song for me and my fears and my mistakes, even though I knew the actual backstory by heart. So to me, it is also a song for anyone who's struggling to forgive themselves.
She wrote the album herself because she was called out by men who said she couldn’t possibly write her own songs. I think she’s incredibly talented and wanted to prove she could. I personally really like Speak Now and it’s not because she wrote it herself I just really enjoy the songs .
Speak Now is not my fave album, but watching the Speak Now World Tour made that album experience much better. It's up on YT. I hope you get to see all her concert films before the Eras tour 💖 P.S. Red does not have any official concert film and it is a CRIME Also, I would like to request for an album deep dive or listening to every album by Harry Styles hihi
i've come to realize that speak now is the only taylor album where i just cannot skip even one song. every song goes hard in terms of different emotions. Mine? sparks fly? haunted? better than revenge? long live? enchanted? the story of us? oof bangers all of them. im FORCED to get up on my feet and act like im having my own concert. im a swiftie and i dont think there's even one song that i don't like (and it's not because im a swiftie and im biased, it's just what it is) but i do skip some of her songs cuz they dont fit the mood as is true for any other artists' songs BUTT speak now is that album where i just cannot. i admit some of her old songs are corny but i embrace the cringe and the corny now so eh. thanks for the video, i enjoyed it!
Speak Now has better writing than most of her albums. I can argue even better than RED… Speak Now has a ton of music range and has different stories and perspectives rather than ONE narrative. There’s so much in depth lessons being described in this album therefore very relatable and touching It’s a very progressive album bc it’s related to every stage of your life as it applies to nostalgic moments
Dear John is connected to Would’ve, Could’ve, Should’ve. W,C,S has the would’ves and could’ves, and Dear John has all the should’ves. It’s so well thought out, Taylor is a mastermind.
Honestly, Speak Now is an album for me that doesn't have a specific genre. Country, Pop, Acoustic, Rock ITS JUST EVERYWHERE like Midnights (also love your videos sir keep it up)
One thing I like about your Videos is you are ACTUALLY super Honest Which is very Rare thing to have nowadays I'm a Swiftie But listening opinions of someone else who is not a Swiftie or just became a Swiftie is really fun
speak now is really growing on me, it's my friend's favorite album and I think it's my 3rd or so favorite? anyway, as usual, top 5 song rankings: 1. dear john 2. back to december 3. haunted 4. enchanted 5. last kiss
I really love your Taylor swift videos, I watch them as soon as you post em. Also I can say that speak now is.... Ok I guess, of course I'm a swiftie but I always say my true opinion on her music. For me it lacks a sense of cohesion, and like you said the production sounds super similar on almost every song. My personal favorites on the album is dear John and enchanted. Also I hope you could get tickets to the eras tour lol
Thank you for bringing Speak Now TV into existance by dropping this video! I think Speak Now is the album that is the most "you had to be there" out of all of her discograpfy. Many of the old school Swifties are riding hard for this one, and I don't really get it either. I have fond memories of Mine from way back then, but I never really listened to the rest of the album, and coming back to it now in my Swiftie era I think it's her weakest after Debut. Very few tracks stand out to me, and they lack the memorable melodies and hooks of her other albums. HOWEVER, I think Dear John is one of her best songs ever, the concept is clever, the lyrics are gutting and her vocals are really raw. It holds up well as a track 5, and is a fan favourite for a reason. I think the main reason people go so hard for this album is nostalgia, combined with what it represented for Taylor and her career at the time. She was still a teenager, had just won a grammy, people were saying that she was too young to have written her songs and everyone wondered if she could follow up her success or if she was gonna be a one hit wonder. And what she did was lock herself away and write the album ALL BY HERSELF just to prove people wrong, and then went on her very first headline tour. That tour gave her a lot of lifelong fans, form what I hear she was incredible live, and people have emotional attachments to the live versions of Dear John and Long Live especially. That sense of her reclaiming control of the narrative in the face of not getting respect from the general public made a lot of fans dig their heels in for this album. I also think it helps that it doesn't have any commercial hits, making this one the "undiscovered" Taylor album that the die hard fans feel that they get to have for themselves, because no one else "gets it". I'm really curious to see what's gonna happen with it now when TV drops. I would love to be proven wrong.
I can’t relate to you finding it bland haha, but I can see where you’re coming from. You see it as repetitive, I just see it as BANGER AFTER BANGER AFTER BANGER AFTER BANGER AFT- it’s not my favorite by any means, but it’s up there!
Sparks fly, I can’t tell you how EXCITED I was to have a studio recording of this song when the album came out. Used to LOVE the older/live version of the song back in the day it was on my pink iPod mini and I downloaded it from limewire 😆 Enchanted & Haunted are LEGENDARY tracks and top 10 Taylor songs of all time for me. Seriously those 3 songs MAKE the album 💿 💜 I actually think is super diverse body of work bc she has some super fun rock songs on there that sounds like paramore. Piano ballads, pop HITS and bluegrass/country?! Speak Now walked so Red could run 💯
I love Speak Now. I think though that the Swifties who rank it as one of their top albums are Swifties who have been around since it's release if not before then. It's hard to not feel strongly about albums you've sat with for so many years (it's why I don't think Red will ever not be my top album, it's been almost 11 years she cannot possibly release something now that I'll have the same attachment to/feelings about). It took me a long time to realize it does fall toward the bottom of my rankings, sitting just above Midnights, 1989, and Lover. I'm really interested to see what she does with Speak Now TV because it is a fantastic album and getting her current vocals and vault tracks will only elevate it. I was at Nashville night one when she announed it and it was unreal. As for John Mayer, that man has done and said so many shitty things that he absolutely deserves at least some of the attitude he gets. Does he deserve extreme hate such as death threats? Obviously not. Nobody does. But it's not just a "oh he broke Taylor's heart so he sucks" situation. He's just a shitty human being all around and that's why that attitude is still maintained. It's not the same for most of her exes, there's chatter when an album is released and it dies out.
I loved watching the "story of us" mv continuously when i was younger. Fell in love with enchanted around 2021. Just heard mean this year. It is great. "dear john" gets stuck in my head from time to time.
i can definitely see where you're coming from, but i think i disagree. even though it does sound similar it doesn't feel as similar to me as an album like 1989. also i don't really think the album has weaker writing, as if you take a close look songs like mine and last kiss have some of her best writing of all time (in my opinion). it definitely grew on me, as it was in my bottom three when i just became a swiftie. it's now my second favorite album though, and my favorite song is back to december. i hope your channel grows and you can get those tickets!
I like Red more because All Too Well ten minutes. The Taylor's Version has made Red her longest album so far. Red has State Of Grace a great opening song. Red and Folklore honstly feel like her best albums to me. Most of her songs that create a music video in my head come from Red and Folklore. But I still respect Speak Now because it was the first album I listend to from her at age 12.
thank you so much for speaking up abt the john/jake hate train. I’m a big swiftie but it’s nauseating to see the lvls the fandom will go to harass these men. it's petty, hateful, and disgusting, esp if they’re wishing violence or threatening them. like…yes, what john did is creepy so I'm not excusing that, but jake is just a bad bf. what can we do about it. THERE IS NO POINT. GET OVER IT ALR??? YOU CAN ACKNOWLEDGE THAT WHAT THEY DID IS WRONG BUT ACTIVELY TARGETING THEM IS DUMB. TAYLOR LIVING HER BEST LIFE, SO YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE SO EMOTIONALLY INVESTED IN HER EXES AND WHAT THEY'RE DOING YEARS LATER. ok sorry, I’m ranting. it’s just hard to find a space where I can talk abt this w out other swifties jumping down my throat and going rabid dog mode. IM SO ANNOYED ARGH
It's literally my favourite album, Not just because she's the sole writer, But just because it's really relatable to my life and it just gets me. But I completely understand your perspective and it's fine , I truly appreciate the honesty lol.
Yeih! Back to December is my fav from that era too... I still remember adding it to my iTunes and my iPod haha, like it's the most memorable for me from that album
Dude your top 5 is perfect!! You got taste man 🤩 Also Speak Now is not my fav album either but I can see why lots of people have it as their fav, there’s so many bangers tbh lol
One of the only times I’m gonna have to disagree with you. I think the coming of age theme in this is what makes me appreciate this album more. Last Kiss, Dear John, and Back to December are songs that for me represent the initial loss of innocence and realizing there’s so many more feelings in a relationship than just lovey dovey things. I can see why you felt it being repetitive but I guess I’ve known these songs more than you that I have nostalgic bonds to it.
Well, Even though i agree when You said "personal doesnt make it good" at The same time i understand when people like that, because it feels closer, it feels familiar and real, you can easily relate with The feelings and everything she's singing about, and it just does not happen that often. This album is not about music, but is about life, and love, and heartbreak, fears, regrets and happiness, and I think we love it for that. And I just cant wait to listen to taylors version. Like your videos, hope you make it to The eras tour!
Okay, here it is... this is my favorite album *Surprise Pikachu face* I could literally make an entire dissertation on why this album is, dare I say, her Magnum Opus. But to save time, I will say that is the combination of lyricism (ENTIRELY self-written), vibe and nostalgia, and the overwhelming fact that such a young woman at a time where she was starting to be harassed by the media, was capable of recreating such a majestic work of art that can't be so easily replicated. Enchanted itself is probably one of the best songs she's ever made within her discography, even the songs that haven't aged well like Better Than Revenge are still effin BANGERS. All I'm saying is that it is fcking impressive that a 18-20 year old was capable of such actions, it was just in an unfortunate spot of living off the Fearless hype and the surging Red Era over the horizon. I definitely prefer this album over the likes of 1989 or Reputation for many reasons (critical, personal or otherwise), but the fact of the matter is that this album SHOULD NEVER be overlooked. Also, to add a hilarious point, I love the fact that you literally manifested the release of the Taylor's Version of it lmaoooo. Mother Taylor in my mind sai, "It holds up, Jason! I want you to drop everything now!" Also, I will not accept this Owl City slander ahahaha
Thanks for being honest, actually, because usually it seems like in every reaction video ever they feel like they have to be all positive, but you're being real. I mean, personally I disagree about the value of this album. But still, refreshing you're giving genuine thoughts.
I'm dying, we are finally getting Speak Now Taylor's Version, can't believe it, you manifested it. I love Speak Now, is not on my top 5 Taylor albums but I think is the sound quality what stops me from putting it higher, maybe the rerecord will change my mind. I think it has the best bridges of her entire career, and also the tour was amazing. My favorite songs are Enchanted, Haunted, If This Was A Movie, The Story Of Us, Back To December, Never Grow Up and Long Live. Loved the video, your opinions are so well constructed, nice one.
Nice vid👍. My fav off the album is probably dear John I love the way it builds. Also I saw a Mic the Snare video about Taylor swift where he called Mean a delightfully petty song which I completely agree with. Just the way she sings “all you are is mean, and a liar, and pathetic” is soo funny. You think she’s gonna stop throwing the insults but she just keeps going 😂.
This album it’s my favorite for so many reason except for the fact she wrote it alone. With this album I became a Swiftie and it’s so amazing how she fit her experiences in each song
i kind of agree but i love speak now because in a playlist with other songs the vibe when a speak now song comes on it just makes me want to jump up and down and i love that about it.
speak now is my favourite album and has been for many years. i feel it is because of nostalgia because it was the first taylor album i listened to in full. But luckily I can distinguish best from my favourite. I think folklore is the BEST album, but speak now isn't that far behind (in my opinion).
@@jasonpaulkimbut i can see where you're coming from. Speak Now has a variety of sounds but they all have the same guitar which kind of brings it down a bit. I'm hoping she does a few minor production changes so that the songs still have the same feel but they are less similar.
This is my favorite album of hers. It reminds me if my childhood as I listened to it all the time. Sure she has many good albums but this one always hits home
long live and enchanted are my top 1 and 3 favorite taylor songs (only separated by treacherous) but the album overall falls towards the bottom of my rankings! While i absolutely love 5 or 6 of the songs, I hardly listen to the rest so I'm also shocked why a lot of swifties hold this as their number one. I honeslty think a lot of it might be nostalgia?? I agree with a lot of your points and helps put into words what i've been thinking and why red is my number 1. also i understand all the long live criticism and don't blame you at all lol. it's only so up there for me because it's my dad's favorite and always reminds me of him, so i just kind of hold it in that number one spot even though it may not be my favorite sonically.
Speak Now, while not my favorite, is full of great pop songs written by a 19-20 year old woman. I can appreciate it for what it is. Favorites are: Sparks Fly, Back to December, and Mean. As for JM and JG, I don’t hate them. I don’t know them, but… they do give me the ICK.
Honestly I’m shocked that you dont even have 10k subs… these videos are incredibly well made and thought out. I really like your videos, keep up the good work!
Speak Now is my favorite album for a lot of reasons. First because I like country music (SN and Fearless are my two favs, Debut is something like 6th), but the also because I'm a hopeless romantic who came to love the fairytale aesthetic of that album. I agree that they all sound kinda similar but I actually like how they sound so that's a win to me. :') Also maybe I relate to it because I'm as old as when she wrote it idk.. I like every song from the album but my top5 is Enchanted, Sparks Fly, Long Live, Ours and The Story of Us! and honorable mentions to Mine and Haunted because they slap so hard too. I can't wait for the Taylor's Version, I love ITWAM TV way more than the og and I hope I will do the same with the rest of the album!!
I loveee this album, its definitely one of my favorites. My favorites songs are the story of us, and (unpopular opinion) speak now. And omg im so excited for speak now tv!!!
I’m sorry-LAST KISS IS NOT JUST ALRIGHT. The fact that you said that makes me question whether you actually listened to it. The lyrics of last kiss are SUPERIOR, and for a 19 year old it write that- is insane.
Is Speak Now my favorite album? Yes. Do I listen to it the least? Also yes. I feel like the problems I have are similar to yours and it is outdated but that just makes me all the more excited for Taylor’s Version cause I feel like we might get a more rock sound. I remember not really liking Red for the same reasons till we got Taylor’s Version
Will be answering yer question again. 😅 I don't know where this ranks tbh. Sometimes it's on my Top 5, sometimes it doesn't. So prolly rank 5 or 6. Fave songs: - Back to December (for her saying sorry for the first time in a song) - Speak Now (it makes me laugh imagining it 🤣) - Mean (the bridge lol) - Enchanted (duhhhhhhhh) - Haunted (I love both versions present, maybe more the acoustic version since it's more personal) - Ours (a simple cute song) - If This Was a Movie (TV - I never listened to it until TV came out and love it) Honorable mentions: - Mine ("you made a rebel of careless man's careful daughter" - genius lyrics!) - Dear John (the live version, I like it better live and it's so epiccc) - The Story of Us (I had a very VERY similar experience and I hate how she was able to describe how I feel that time)

This is my favorite Taylor Swift album. Innocent is my favorite track, I can't wait for the re-recording.
same!
Red does not have any official concert film and it is a CRIME
Also, I would like to request for an album deep dive or listening to every album by Harry Styles hihi
i've come to realize that speak now is the only taylor album where i just cannot skip even one song. every song goes hard in terms of different emotions. Mine? sparks fly? haunted? better than revenge? long live? enchanted? the story of us? oof bangers all of them. im FORCED to get up on my feet and act like im having my own concert. im a swiftie and i dont think there's even one song that i don't like (and it's not because im a swiftie and im biased, it's just what it is) but i do skip some of her songs cuz they dont fit the mood as is true for any other artists' songs BUTT speak now is that album where i just cannot. i admit some of her old songs are corny but i embrace the cringe and the corny now so eh. thanks for the video, i enjoyed it!
Speak Now has better writing than most of her albums. I can argue even better than RED…
Speak Now has a ton of music range and has different stories and perspectives rather than ONE narrative.
There’s so much in depth lessons being described in this album therefore very relatable and touching
It’s a very progressive album bc it’s related to every stage of your life as it
applies to nostalgic moments
So true!
She just announced Speak Now Taylor's Version perfect timing for this albums video
Dear John is connected to Would’ve, Could’ve, Should’ve. W,C,S has the would’ves and could’ves, and Dear John has all the should’ves. It’s so well thought out, Taylor is a mastermind.
Dude Speak Now (Taylor's Version) was just announced
🫢
SPEAK NOW TAYLOR’S VERSION WAS ANNOUNCED RN I FOUND OUT RIFHT AFTER I FINISHED WATCHING THSI VIDEO SKDJFHR
Honestly, Speak Now is an album for me that doesn't have a specific genre. Country, Pop, Acoustic, Rock ITS JUST EVERYWHERE like Midnights (also love your videos sir keep it up)
One thing I like about your Videos is you are ACTUALLY super Honest Which is very Rare thing to have nowadays
I'm a Swiftie But listening opinions of someone else who is not a Swiftie or just became a Swiftie is really fun
haha appreciate it :)
What a causality that you uploaded this TODAY, the day Speak Now TV is announced 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
i know right lol
speak now is really growing on me, it's my friend's favorite album and I think it's my 3rd or so favorite? anyway, as usual, top 5 song rankings:
1. dear john
2. back to december
3. haunted
4. enchanted
5. last kiss
This video manifested the Speak Now TV announcement stg
I really love your Taylor swift videos, I watch them as soon as you post em. Also I can say that speak now is.... Ok I guess, of course I'm a swiftie but I always say my true opinion on her music. For me it lacks a sense of cohesion, and like you said the production sounds super similar on almost every song. My personal favorites on the album is dear John and enchanted. Also I hope you could get tickets to the eras tour lol
yea i totally agree! and thank u :)
You released this the perfect day
ikr lmao
You see it as repetitive, I just see it as BANGER AFTER BANGER AFTER BANGER AFTER BANGER AFT-
it’s not my favorite by any means, but it’s up there!
YESSS I LOVE SPEAK NOW!! huge fan :)))
Woooooo!
Sparks fly, I can’t tell you how EXCITED I was to have a studio recording of this song when the album came out. Used to LOVE the older/live version of the song back in the day it was on my pink iPod mini and I downloaded it from limewire 😆
Enchanted & Haunted are LEGENDARY tracks and top 10 Taylor songs of all time for me. Seriously those 3 songs MAKE the album 💿 💜
I actually think is super diverse body of work bc she has some super fun rock songs on there that sounds like paramore. Piano ballads, pop HITS and bluegrass/country?! Speak Now walked so Red could run 💯
Oh wow, I was about to come back to this video to mention the Speak Now TV announcement, but it looks like others beat me to it. 😆 How funny.
This era always have a special place in my heart, it's the era when I became a swiftie 💜
This is my album ranking btw :)
🍂 evermore - 10
🎸 RED - 9.9
🌸 Lover - 9.51
🌿 folklore - 9.5
🕰️ Midnights - 9
✨ reputation - 8.5
💜 Speak Now - 8
💛 FEARLESS - 7.75
🎉 1989 - 7.5
🌱 Taylor Swift - 7
wow lol
@@jasonpaulkim omg the day you posted this video Taylor announced Speak Now TV! 🤧
Not her announcing she will drop speak now, just a couple of hours later!!💜
the way she just announced taylor verison too-
🫡
Not speak now TV being announced JUST a FEW HOURS later 💜💜💜
this video is posted in the perfect time!!! speak now tv just announced for july 7!!!!
wooooo
The perfect timing with you releasing this the day she announced speak now TV😭😭 WHO’S READY YALL??💜💜💜
excited for your rep vid
soon i promise lol
The fact you posted this just as the TV got announced… immaculate…

4:00 i'll let you know that this is indeed my favorite album. thank u.
i appreciate ur input :)
Perfect timing 😍 Taylor is releasing Speak Now(Taylor's Version) July 7th!!!!
i watched this like 5 hours ago but damn jason you really predicted it !!
ig i did lmao
speak now is her best album fight me
lol but like how tho
It's literally my favourite album,
Not just because she's the sole writer,
But just because it's really relatable to my life and it just gets me.
But I completely understand your perspective and it's fine ,
I truly appreciate the honesty lol.
Yeih! Back to December is my fav from that era too... I still remember adding it to my iTunes and my iPod haha, like it's the most memorable for me from that album
Dude your top 5 is perfect!! You got taste man 🤩
Also Speak Now is not my fav album either but I can see why lots of people have it as their fav, there’s so many bangers tbh lol
I can see why you felt it being repetitive but I guess I’ve known these songs more than you that I have nostalgic bonds to it.
yea i definitely see tht i think thematically there's tons of variety but arrangement wise it's a little repetative
I want you to drop everything now!"
Also, I will not accept this Owl City slander ahahaha
EXPLAIN THE THUMBNAIL EXCUSE YOU SIR. CRINGE? NO.
lol
Thanks for being honest, actually, because usually it seems like in every reaction video ever they feel like they have to be all positive, but you're being real. I mean, personally I disagree about the value of this album. But still, refreshing you're giving genuine thoughts.
Agreed! I think that’s why his videos stand out to me.
She just announced the rerecording of this album, what a coincidence
ikrrr
I still think 1989 has less variety than Speak Now, but I do agree that her age shows in the song writing. Excited for the next video. :)
She played forever and always as a suprise song and she didn’t mess it up 😭
🫡
I'm dying, we are finally getting Speak Now Taylor's Version, can't believe it, you manifested it. I love Speak Now, is not on my top 5 Taylor albums but I think is the sound quality what stops me from putting it higher, maybe the rerecord will change my mind. I think it has the best bridges of her entire career, and also the tour was amazing. My favorite songs are Enchanted, Haunted, If This Was A Movie, The Story Of Us, Back To December, Never Grow Up and Long Live. Loved the video, your opinions are so well constructed, nice one.
i'm glad u enjoyed! and let's goooo speak now tv!!
I agree with the song order critique, which is why I'm interested to see how she orders them for Taylor's version!
Great video! Hope you get tickets 😊
ty
This album it’s my favorite for so many reason except for the fact she wrote it alone. With this album I became a Swiftie and it’s so amazing how she fit her experiences in each song
i kind of agree but i love speak now because in a playlist with other songs the vibe when a speak now song comes on it just makes me want to jump up and down and i love that about it.
i totally get tht lol
02:21 gives me "as femin, as feminis, as, -skip that word" from ANTM
speak now is my favourite album and has been for many years. i feel it is because of nostalgia because it was the first taylor album i listened to in full. But luckily I can distinguish best from my favourite. I think folklore is the BEST album, but speak now isn't that far behind (in my opinion).
i see i see
@@jasonpaulkimbut i can see where you're coming from.
Here after Taylor announced speak now tv🤠🤠
🫡
Impeccable timing
frrrr i'm just like tht
MY FAVORITE ALBUM!
WOOOOO!
THIS AGED WELL...........
Also maybe I relate to it because I'm as old as when she wrote it idk..
Not Speak Now Taylor's Version be announced right after this video!
i manifested
It’s like she saw this💜💜💜
frrr
I loveee this album, its definitely one of my favorites. My favorites songs are the story of us, and (unpopular opinion) speak now. And omg im so excited for speak now tv!!!
nice profile pick swap lol
You are kidding. Long live is Taylor’s best song. It. Is. A. Banger.
meh lol
wow great timing
ty ty
Wow u posted it the same day Speak Now Taylor’s version was announced. 😂
well your fandom needs a name now cause idk what i am but as soon as i got the notification i ran here
lmaoooo i'll have to think abt tht one
I’m sorry-LAST KISS IS NOT JUST ALRIGHT. The fact that you said that makes me question whether you actually listened to it. The lyrics of last kiss are SUPERIOR, and for a 19 year old it write that- is insane.
it's slow and i don't like the chorus i think it's anticlimactic tbh
Is Speak Now my favorite album? Yes. Do I listen to it the least? Also yes. I feel like the problems I have are similar to yours and it is outdated but that just makes me all the more excited for Taylor’s Version cause I feel like we might get a more rock sound. I remember not really liking Red for the same reasons till we got Taylor’s Version
great timing, tv got announced earlier
woooo
Taylor just announced the release of Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) on tour in Nashville! Tell me, do you know Taylor personally?!
yea man me and taylor r boys
Perfect day to release this since she just announced Taylor’s version of it an hour ago
You posted at the perfect time, because Speak Now TV just got announcements oh my gosh
Will be answering yer question again. 😅
I don't know where this ranks tbh. Sometimes it's on my Top 5, sometimes it doesn't. So prolly rank 5 or 6.
Fave songs:
- Back to December (for her saying sorry for the first time in a song)
- Speak Now (it makes me laugh imagining it 🤣)
- Mean (the bridge lol)
- Enchanted (duhhhhhhhh)
- Haunted (I love both versions present, maybe more the acoustic version since it's more personal)
- Ours (a simple cute song)
- If This Was a Movie (TV - I never listened to it until TV came out and love it)
Honorable mentions:
- Mine ("you made a rebel of careless man's careful daughter" - genius lyrics!)
- Dear John (the live version, I like it better live and it's so epiccc)
- The Story of Us (I had a very VERY similar experience and I hate how she was able to describe how I feel that time)
I honestly didn’t like dear John since I thought it was boring but it’s grown on me so much and the bridge HITS
I LOVE THIS CHANNEL BUT DID YOU JUS SAY 'MEH' TO LAST KISS?!
mmmm maybe
