    8:18 Oops.. 180 degrees is a somewhat flat point.. 🤨
    118° is better.

    Is that hole in the bottom a possible port for a vacuum to collect the dust?

      It's one of the options I will consider.

    What is the difference between the 13A and the 13B ? Thanks for the video

      The position for the split point grind is moved to the front, and there are some minor cosmetic differences. Ik don't think there are relevant differences between these models.

    is the first dial a drill diameter or web thickness?

    • @Michel-Uphoff
      @Michel-Uphoff  8 месяцев назад +1

      Both. The web thickness is directly proportional to the drill diameter (around 15 to 20% on standard drills). Instead of having to specify the unknown web thickness, to set the correct value, the diameter of the drill is selected with the dial knob.

    the machine is good at wat it does .... but..... its verry limited in its use
    if it was able to sharpen at different angles and sharpen bits for a milling machine i be verry interested
    at this moment i think a deckel D bit grinder clone with the dividing head would be more usefull , i hope vevor will enter that intoo its program one of these days

      Different angles (90 to 135°) is no problem. This is a dedicated drill grinder. See my tiny tool grinder video series for a more universal grinder.
      But even more general purpose grinders, such as a Deckel or my tiny tool grinder, are less suitable for sharpening drills, at least if you have higher requirements regarding clearance angles, split points and the like. If you want to do that on a Deckel, you will need a special jig. Hemingway has a kit for it.

      Vevor is a reseller, not a designer manufacturer. There are very likely products out there already, but not at this price point. A product that comes to mind is the Darex drill bit grinder, which if you can find one, go for around 2500$ used.

    The Vevor seems to be a finely made tool, however for the price it sells for( up to $500.00 American) it should come with American sized collects. My Drill Doctor sharpens up to 49/64" dia. bits very well and for a lot less money.
