This is exactly why I don’t care about college football anymore. I have not watched a game in two years. The last time I watch college football and college basketball on a regular basis was before the pandemic happened. I was already tuned out of the so-called college football playoffs because of all the SEC bias and the fact that the Group of 5 had little to no chance of getting in (Central Florida anyone?). I used to be a fan of Ohio State when I watched college sports. I didn’t watch a whole lot of sports during the pandemic mainly due to so many player being out with Covid and a bunch of games being cancelled because of it. Anyway, ever since UCLA and USC decided to join the Big Ten, I decided I was done with college sports. This new landscape is an absolute disaster. All they care about is money. They don’t care about us fans (or now former fans) who want to watch the games, the geography, the history, the traditions, or even the rivalries. It’s all about money. Eventually they will end up losing money since they’re already losing a bunch of fans. I now find something else to do on Saturdays during football season and I still watch professional sports. I will also try to get into the UFL when they start their new season depending on whether or not I’m still burned out on football since the NFL now has a 17 game season and that is a but too much for me. As much as I enjoy football, I can’t do a 17 game season. It’s impossible to keep up with that many games
