For me. Her best live vocals are the Oscars performance. She's shy and gets stage fright. But that night she knew she couldn't be doing that sh%t. She killed it.
Aaliyah sung mostly in her lower register, and her falsetto range. She hardly ever sung in her belting range, even though she could belt really good. I think what we heard from her was a stylistic purpose.
And this is why i love Aaliyah. Classy, talented, kind, beautiful and a powerful voice! But everyone likes to discredit her. Everything about a perfect role model for women. Beyonce will never compare, she will always be second best.
Every single time some ppl try to discredit her by saying she couldn’t sing I get upset! If she couldn’t sing, then no one could either. She had an undeniably beautiful, mesmerizing and wide-ranging voice. Especially The One I Gave My Heart To was such an outstanding live performance. Also her rendition of the Star Spangled Banner before an NBA Game or her Oscar Performance (Journey to the Past) were marvelous!
The girl just had it all!!! Fly. Intelligent. Swag for days. Gorgeous. Beautiful. Hair. Dimples. Style. She had Faith in God. Personality. I could go on but I don't wanna obsess! 😁😁
Aaliyah's live vocal delivery was more powerful than the studio songs
It was! 💯
Aaliyah was always a genuine true original talent. The way she could sing & perform
at 10 years old is incredible !!

@@SirJamieokeith 57 million people watched that night.
Not many artists can say they've performed for an audience that big.

EVEN IN HER SECURE REGISTERS IT WAS BEAUTIFUL HER DEEP ONE ☝🏾 IS WHAT SHE WAS KNOWN FOR BUT HER LIGHT NOTES ARE REALLY GOOD TO
Loved her range. She had so much more to show what she could’ve done vocally when she was already great.
