Island Queen sounds like a fascinating read! Thanks for sharing the trigger warnings though. I appreciate that :) Also, Can You Forgive Her sounds so good. I definitely want to read that one of these days lol

I'm so glad you enjoyed Can You Forgive Her! It's an incredible novel and my favorite Trollope so far. How to be a Victorian is interesting, I liked following the author's experience of Victorian age. It makes our daily lives look so easy! My highlight of last month was Long Island by Colm Toibin, the sequel to Brooklyn. I was so looking forward to getting back to the characters, and it didn't disappoint.

I loved Can You Forgive Her too, which I read at the beginning of the year. I have actually just finished all the Palliser novels now , greatly helped by Timothy West reading them!

Missed you last week Heather. I read the first two books in but decided to DNF the Once Upon a Broken Heart series. Stephanie Garber writes the kind of cozier fantasy that I've come to love though. I participated in Garb August and read seven books. My favorites were Hangsaman my fourth Shirley Jackson novel and Lake Shore Chronicles #" 4 and 5 by Susan Wiggs, This is my current contemporary romance series.

What fun! Yeah, I needed to focus on school prep and rest after the first couple days of school, but I'm glad to be back.

I love audiobooks but the tone and performance of the voice actor really can affect the experience, positively or negatively. I hadn’t considered listening to an audiobook of The Way We Live Now for Victober, that could be my audiobook for next month. I’m so glad you enjoyed How to Be a Victorian!

I love Timothy West's narration of The Way We Live Now, so I highly recommend that method.
