I mean that amount of range is needed for Echidna. Last run I did we had 5-6 FS, Bow, and a dude with a musket, and the boss absolutely melted. Then we switched to melee for Typhon and he also melted. Just saying most people don’t plan on using just their ranged weapon the entire raid.
@@tev9827 I recommend having melee for the entire raid and switching to ranged for the last boss. Melee characters tend to deal more DPS than ranged, but switching makes it easier. For the first and second bosses, it's best if everyone is melee to simplify the fight, although having two or three ranged players is acceptable. The Hatchet Greatsword offers a hybrid of ranged and melee capabilities, providing the best of both worlds.
@ hatchet as a ranged is a joke compared to bow or FS. First boss ranged deals more stagger damage when on the pillars. I’ve had a full melee group on Echidna before and it was nowhere close to how quickly we melted the boss while having more ranged. and would bow and great sword be the best of both worlds, because they both scale significantly with dex and one is an actual ranged weapon?
@@tev9827 I dont use the hatchet as ranged, as with spear, rend can be applied while doing melee. Even if you do throw at corvids etc when they are in vines, it hits 4-5k non crit. 6+k on crit. I have been a bow player for 3 years, but hatchet/spear works well on the raid.
if i join a team and they have 3 or 4 range players, I leave, coz I know its a waste of time. Rending Sin and Spear user here.
This is the way! Sin is great and somewhat underrated; I like it and need to create more content with this one. Thanks for sharing; it is helpful!
