My 2008 GV V6 2.7L 4x4 has been amazing. I mainly use it for off-roading, 2-inch lift kit with 245/75R16 mud tires. Suzuki makes amazingly reliable vehicles. Unfortunately, a lot of people who don't know what they are talking about also get a voice. The Grand Vitara is the number one sold SUV in the world, Suzuki has made this model from 2006 to 2022 in different countries.
I had a 1.9 diesel and if they're not looked after they'll break down. I've just bought a 2012 2.4 with a GLP conversion. Simple petrol model for better reliability, but avoid the 2009 and 2010 that had cracked engine cases. From 2011 on you got a winner 🏆 🎉
@@easy4x4 Am planning to get either 2.0 or 2.4 with five speed manual gearbox which one do u think is better in terms of reliability as well performance for long distance trips

@MzeeKigogo_ it's also OK, BUT a little less power. According to reports, it's not as reliable as the 2.4, but better than the diesels.

@MzeeKigogo_ definitely the 2.4. Very proven engine especially in manual. That's why I got it 😉👉🤩

it's Achilles' heel is not having
enough ground clearance for off roading.

Selam reis yakit cok diye biliyorum emin misin, vazgecme nedenim yakit oldu. Gerci az desen bile 1.6 atmosferik az yakmaz

Should you buy one? Well if it's a V6 be prepared for a $1000 bill to change a $0.20 o-ring when it fails registration due to oil leaks.
1.9 is awful. Dpf issues and french built buy the 2.4 VVT and save money on repairs.
+ engine oil leaking issues. 1.9 is trash 🗑️
