for anyone wondering how they make the bandana smaller/bigger and not mess up with the scalloping, just make sure you end on an even number of rows; number ends with either 2,4,6,8 or 0
@@user-bx2hx2ev4g yes, so the original design is for 10 rows, if you want to make it bigger you would have to do 12 rows before the scalloping, smaller would be 8 rows
Cannot remember if I’ve already commented on this video but am so thankful for it. My granddaughters all love the bandanas and have asked for more, so that’s what I’m doing today. Sitting by the fireplace enjoying how toasty it makes the house, sipping coffee and crocheting this lovely pattern. Wonderful. Have a great weekend. I can see my sheep, goats, and chickens outside my window free ranging on the wonderful green grass . They are all so entertaining to watch, but the chickens are my favorite. We have 15 chickens and 1 rooster and they all seem to have their own personalities.
ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL! I found my teacher wearing this so I searched for a tutorial and found it (which was this) and we were matching💞. Thank you for this!
this is a wonderful tutorial for beginners! i just started crocheting and this was so easy to follow. also i made mine look like a strawberry by using red and white for the body and green for the straps
I really enjoyed this tutorial and making my bandana! You inspired me to crochet useful items that are easy and quick to finish. I have been mostly doing complicated amigurumi patterns. However, I found that with this project I could just relax and crochet instead of counting every single stitch. It’s also very cute!
I used your tutorial to make a crochet halter willow top (I think that's the name) and it came out pretty good. You inspire me so much. I'm 13 and I look at your vids and know I'll get to where you are!
omg this is so quick. i’m using this for pride bandanas. thank you so much for posting!! i’m following your hex cardi tutorial rn too and i love your content. 💜💜💜
for anyone increasing their rows and the scalloping fails to end on the 7 double crochet into the wide space; if you don’t feel like adding or undoing an entire row, SC DECREASE into the previous TWO spaces in order to end with those last 7 double crochets. instead of (scallop, sc, scallop) it would be (scallop, sc dec, scallop) for those last 4 available spaces. The crunch is barely noticeable and helped me because i was using three colors :)
I wanted to thank you for taking your time to explain in detail the stitches. You have such a calming voice and so clear with directions. 🖤🩷 I made this for my mom for Christmas I am so excited !!!
thank you so much for this tutorial!! your explanations were super clear and easy to follow, my new bandana is so pretty 💗 making a matching one for my dog now hahah
Thank u so much for this video. I’ve tried out ur patterns n it works out so well n fitted my head. Just one of the perfect ratio that I was looking for. I did great!! Keep it up 💝💝💝
Thank you so freaking much for teaching the fucking stitches as you go it’s amazing. Everyone else doesn’t and I don’t know what to do. I’m trying to learn and it’s hard! (The magic circle lol)
This is so cute ☺️ I found that for a beginner like me it was easy to follow so Thank You!! This was my second attempt though bc the first time I had a thicker yarn & I didn’t know anything about crochet.
I tried it with a 3 weight yarn and did more rows. My daughter (she's 30) wants it to somehow be connected in the back instead of ties. Im trying it now with a 4 weight yarn...we'll see if i can pull it off. Oh, she also wants ruffles on the border instead of the 7 doubles. I'll let ya know how/if it works.❤
Hi Kelsie, I am curious.I crocheted several of your hair scrunchies but when I look at the elastic hair elastics that you use, yours look quite a bit larger than mine. I would love to know what brand yours are as I feel my scrunchies would be nicer if I used an elastic that is a bit larger. I have quite a few granddaughters who love scrunchies. Thank you. Just finished five of your hair bandannas. Much loved by the girls also. Appreciate your easy to follow tutorials.
Hi Kelsie !! I just finished my 10 rows, but my head is pretty big I guess, I probably need a few more rows. Would this be okay? Or will it mess up the edging/scallops? By the way, thank you for sharing this beautiful pattern ♥️ Can’t wait to wear mine!
oh my actual gosh!!! I thought that this was gonna be confusing and hard as all crap but GIRL! Thank you!!! loved this so much and definitely doing a lot more of these in the future!!! Have a fantastic time! (edit) is there a way you can use those stitches to make a square?
Would you share the measurements of one of your finished bandanas? My seem like they are coming out smaller. I'm using the correct weight of yarn and hook and my stitches aren't tight. Just wondering what the actual size should be?
hi Kelsie, I've added 2 projects on ravelry and linked back to this video, as the pattern isn't on there (doing 1 colour versions as I'm trying to get one finished as a gift pronto)
Hey! I LOVE all your videos! And I have a question...I am struggling with sizing for shorts and was wondering if you knew anything or could be of any help with different sizes and stuff for shorts if you know how to do them??? If not that's fine and your a huge inspiration to me!💕
I followed all the instructions here accordingly, including making 10 rows altogether but somehow it was too small for me, so I added more rows and ended it the way you showed in this video. It's so simple yet pretty.
For some reason when i do color changes the end of the rows i cant tell which is the last stitch...my last stitch looks stretched out and was one strand on 2...just wondering if i ahould do the stitch before that? Am i making the beginning too loose?

Hi, I just made this out of coconut cakes pink, not sure you will this, thanks for showing me how
Thank you so much❤❤❤❤
Thank you for this
Great pattern! Did not turn out 100% for me but I highly recommend it to anyone reading that!
Thank you so much. 💗
Thank you for this! Is this the same pattern you are using right now to make your bandanas??
Yes!
Nice work my dear
My yarn is all tangled up. Do you ever have this problem???
I do
Making a blanket the yarn I use is real bad about that
What are the measurements for your finished product ? Love it !

On her item website bandana size is 12" wide and 7" long
Okay, whats the best way to tell which side is front vs back? I love this design so much but csnnot tell the difference to save my life lol.
Thanks you 😊💖

I was wondering if you could post a RUclips short or something on how to put it on your hair
Thanks
I wonder if you do a stacked crochet now instead of the chain 3 at the beginning of the rows 🙃
I love you 😘❤️ so much 💖
❤ TFS
Mine looks really nice thank you and god bless ✝

How you hide the yarn ? 🙂 mine is so mest up
6:50 for those who need her to repeat how to do the rows again and again to be sure : ) god bless
i just made it and sadly it turned out too small for my large head :( i’m going to try it again but add a few more rows.
Make it with like a size 6 hook instead!! I did that and it was just big enough for my large head 🤣
I followed all the instructions here accordingly, including making 10 rows altogether but somehow it was too small for me, so I added more rows and ended it the way you showed in this video. It's so simple yet pretty.
How many more rows did you add?
@@shleepingpowder2715 I added 4 more so total together were 14 rows and it fits well to me.
@@LokMeeWan I'm currently in the middle of making this I was thinking of stopping there too, tysm! 10 is just too teeny tiny

That's me that right here
what do your bandanas typically measure?
Thanks a lot for your time and your show please if you can make some kids dress ,hat, pips may be will see soon thanks again
Could you possibly tell me the size in inches? I made one, and it turned out tiny. I used red heart super saver and a 5mm.
Mine end up around 12 inches wide and 7 inches long
Do you still chain 85 or do you do 65 like your newer tutorial?
What are the measurements of this bandanna. I think I make the stick to tight because a ten row looks so little
Do you mind if I make these and sell them to my friends?
Go for it
