Unless you lived during this time and watched the PTL Club almost daily you wouldn't understand what they brought to your home. They really did inspire people and uplift their spirits. Tammy was very unique and kind to everyone. She had such a childish spirit. There will never be another Tammy. RIP.
In August of 1987, Kevin Whittum, the disabled adopted son of Jim Bakker’s cousin David Whittum, sued PTL and its founder Jim Bakker after Whittum and his adoptive parents were evicted from “Kevin’s House.” Whittum died five years later, at the age of 24, from heart ailments and brittle bone disease in 1992. “Kevin’s House” burned to the ground decades ago. From its inception, the 13,000 s.f. “Kevin’s House,” built from foundation to rooftop in about 32 days, was supposed to be a GROUP home for the disabled, but for as long as the Whittums occupied the lavish structure, they were its sole occupants. Bakker, as well as everyone involved with PTL-including PTL’s lawyers- should all be ashamed of exploiting this young man, but I doubt any of them still alive-the least being Bakker-gives it a moment’s thought today.
I loved watching PLT on TBN on Tv and always will remember Jimmy and Tammy Baker and how they blessed people when I was a kid I was always would be the first one to finishing eating breakfast 🥞 to watch PTL on TBN we don't have TBN Tv station where we live I miss TBN and I miss Jimmy and Tammy Baker.your new subscriber Ms Joyanna from Houston TX
What happened to little Kevin when PTL got ruined? I really hope he was not kicked out from his home which was gift from the people to him. But I sort of feel Jim is using him for publicity and to make more money, I specially got that feeling from this video which makes me feel really uncomfortable. And then why the they build such a flashy house for a little kid? Anyway I hope this was just out of kindness for Kevin and not some ulterior motives.
@@teijaflink2226Kevin and his family was tossed out into the streets by Falwell and his house was later burned down and he died a few years later in the early 90s of his health problems he suffered from. His family tried to sue but eventually lost their case against ptl.
So what happened to Kevin after Falwell took over and the ministry collapsed? Surely they didn't just throw poor Kev and his family out on the street, did they!?
They did. They decided that they would make the house a B&B and insisted that Kevin and his family would be moved to a smaller house. Kevin tried to sue but lost because they swarmed out about moving him to another house. He died in MI.
Well am I surprised. But wasn't this house a gift to Kevin from all the people who gave money, I don't understand how they could legally kick him out from his home.
The term "third world" was originally used to distinguish the various Cold War factions that followed either the USA (first world) the USSR (second world) or those who aligned with neither side (third world). Although Australia is a founding member of the modern-day Commonwealth, during the Cold War it was placed in the non-aligned third world. After the Cold War and the dissolution of the second world, the meaning of the term's two remaining worlds--first and third--were altered to refer to economic status. 🌎🌍🌏

Me too, Nettie! It's amazing that Kevin was a teenager then. He only looked to be 6 years old.

Me too, Uncle D!
Mike Murdock the $1,000.00 vow preacher.
He's the $58 a month seed guy BUT if you're really lucky he'll share with you the miracle of the $1000 seed!
Did I just see STAIRS on Kevin’s house?!
I think the upstairs was built for Kevin and the kid's parents and family.
It also had an elevator.
Well yes of course but I just thought it was a bad decisions to use stairs ANYWHERE on a “handicapped house.” lol
You forget how good her voice was, I highly recommend Chastain's movie "Eyes of Tammy Faye", she always reminded me of Richard Simmons
Love me some Kim Fields, too! 💯🎀
Kim is a very beautiful girl.
@@ptlclub Kim is still a beautiful *Woman* , especially for her age now.

I would like to know also ... What happened to Kevin
They sure did! I was appalled. Wsoc our local station ran the sad story.

So sad! We face the one who really built this house someday! 🙏
is this recorded in 1987 ?
I think it was mid 1986. Since they were dedicating Heritage Island, Fort Hope and Kevin's House.
This is absoluetly ridiculous -- the statement that Australia was a third-world country. What hubris.
