Awesome videos keep them coming, I was wondering how many acres did the farm have your dad had farmed with one of those tractors? I kinda miss the times when a small farm was enough to pay the bills and etc. but I still believe even is possible now a days
40 acres owned and about 10-15 acres rented for pasture. Used all the grain for feed for the dairy cows, hogs and chickens. Lots of egg laying chickens. Grandpa and Grandma and a cousin lived in the big farm house and my family of 6 lived in a 3 room house with no running water. Big garden and an orchard. Never went hungry and had plenty to do. My dad did work with my uncles house painting and was able to save enough money to build a nice 3 bedroom home in 1958. It could be done today but instead of selling your milk and animals to middle men you need a retail market.
I truly enjoy your videos. This is another good one.
Thanks so much!
