Going this year, grew up near Edgewater raceway. Now live 3 mi. from Maple Grove Raceway, have big tire 68 camaro & 78 monza, and 65 nova small tire. My 62 C1 4 speed gasser 406 cu. is my baby.
Car count was down a little since the race in Ohio is a bit further than some are willing to travel. There’s 3-4 vettes that normally run with the group, and the super stock class used to be dominated by full size Plymouths and Chrysler’s
Sadly from 2030 on all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Now they even want to slow down all the gas pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime. "Bundesabgasbespaßungsverbot" in German. :-///
That is absolutely awful. I live in California and have been trying my hardest to explain to people the significance of their vote ever election cycle, and how allowing government more and more ability is not a great idea. About 15% of our overall price of fuel goes to local state taxes, which then gets wasted on other non beneficial programs. Keep racing legal!
Those H/Gas cars have a hard time at good tracks because their back tires aren’t anywhere near where all the other cars leave from. Track is so good it’s hard on their motor and drivetrain
You’d be surprised, the super stock class is required to retain H pattern and a lot of the racers in mopar wagons were running 833s for a while. Most run G force trans now
Trust me, I wish I had an angle and enough camera to reach to the finish line too. A lot of them are cropped early because I ended up zooming in on someone’s face sitting next to me in the stands

Awesome. It’s totally different watching these SEGA cars in person. Hearing them wind up to stage, I thought the motor would blow right there
Good video Brad this is how we did it years ago ,good builds, hats off to these men and women.
Reminds me of my teen years at Gainesville FL on Friday night of run what you brung.
best music award for a video ... why do I not see more mopars and vettes ?

Hey what became of Gene's Willys. Any idea? Really miss that good man.
Haven’t heard anything about it, not sure whose hands it’s in now.
It would be nice to have some narration so we knew who won.
At least show the win light!
So much better than NHRA
great stuff!
Mr shift shift it shifty if you ain't shifting gears you ain't s*** . 🤔

Move here, more action, cheaper gas, cost of living. Friendly , fun loving . And safer location.
Nobody but Nobody beats the shit out of their engines like this group
That little red car trying so hard maybe when it grows up it can run with the big boys and girls

Nice video. Can't stand kil-kare anymore though.
Kool
No times and don’t know who won just off the line stuff
I assume these cars have $20K trans and clutch set up in them, 'cos they aren't shifting a stock H pattern A833 or a T10 like that LOL, great vid

@@Brad355 Ah, so its not so "stock" in certain classes, I guessed they were not shifting stock stuff like that LOL, love the concept.
you'd be surprised how fast some guys can blow through an H pattern with a clutch, they're like machines.
@@philosothink No I wouldn't....I just knew that stuff wasn't H pattern, huge money in those trans set ups....which did not exist "back in the day"...
Apparently you've never heard of cleetus McFarland and Leroy. Fastest gm H pattern in the world. @6.86 in the quarter

Hey man, as long as you subscribe I don’t care what you say
Would be a better video if you showed the races until the finish line. Otherwise it's a great video with great cars and no annoying music.
