Hi, in the end I bought the tpr 70cc due plus blue kit. Aluminium kits just aint worth. Had a stage 6 sport pro mk2 once that seized after 2 weeks (everyday use for hours). Cast iron kit only seized once after 4000 miles... the tpr due plus blue is on the same level as stage 6 sport pro mk2 so im happy
That is a huge exh port. Ring flex scares me ever since i tried an airsal kit for my '78 puch. Ran fine being easy on it for 1k miles. As soon as i let it rev the problems started. As it got hot it got tight. Took it off back to iron and sane size ports and zero probs. But a lot less power, better to ride home than push it home. My scoot still under the tarp and will be till next year. Spine issues. Crashing dirt bikes in my teens and getting hit by cars on full size bikes at speed caught up with me in my 50's. Maybe next year. 1970 cb 750 has been a rock this year, not a single prob at all. But only 5 or ten miles can not handle more. But still riding. The pasta scoot is very unhappy with me for letting it sit, but i see it like this : do it right or leave it alone. So it sits. Hey good luck with the case and cylinder it looks nice ! I would go wide on the ring gap looks like it's going to be a hot runner. A little wide, with only one it's getting pretty hot, but doing all the work. You've been around you know what your doing. Looks like the finish on the cylinder is nice, no casting flash or nasty spots. So that is what it looks like when you spend a few bucks. Maybe i should smarten up and spend a few bucks too. 86cc is good price for performance, i can assure you you will see so much bigger difference from that 103cc, all u have to do is just get the right parts with it like high end exhaust, innerotor ignition, 28+ mm carb and very good cvt, keep in mind that this is racing cylinder so u cant really drive it non stop everyday, one thing is sure if u setup all corretly u will feel so much more power :) , welcome to the real 2T scooter tuning world :D, i will be following the project with pleasure.

Mine worked well with the Peace Pipe at 10-11kRPM, so maybe. You may want to see if you can find the stinger diameter for it. If it's too small it can make the engine run hot and even melt the piston. I'd guess it's OK, but it's worth a look.
I might be splitting hairs here a little bit but for reference sake when you refer to a port in the cylinder the port is on the bottom of the cylinder and the hole that's inside the cylinder bore is actually the port window ...again , splitting hairs but things have names to eliminate confusion,so there you go.

Hey, a fast question, I got a scooter with a Minarelli engine that has 80cc big bork on it, I would like to keep the stock air filter "It is the same air filter that you hav on the 2T" Should I remove the snorkel? and add a Malossi stock air filter like?? Thank you so much
I usually just remove the snorkel and use the stock filter. If it's got a larger carb, then I open up the opening where the snorkel was a bit to be sure there's enough airflow. Wouldn't bother with that if it's a stock carb. Depending on the snorkel (they do vary from OK to restrictive) it may not even make much difference in performance with or without it when using the stock carb. Right, but what I don't like about aluminum is that you may not get a soft seize like iron bores. Run a little lean with iron and you often get lucky and it soft seizes. Burning a hole to in the piston has nothing to do with the material, that was more heating/cooling, the squish, your jets and especially how the cylinder is breathing due to your exaust. Also ignition point.
The ease of holing a piston does relate to materials. If the expansion rates and tolerances allow the piston to soft seize before it can get to melting point, then it doesn't melt. I have put holes in pistons in iron bores, but they are more forgiving of tuning issues.

I really dont like minarelli clones but cpi are the "best" ones. :)
