im under the impression that since apparently the icefield messenger is supposedly terra version of santa, im guessing terra christmas is just a celebration for catasthrope messenger for their effort at the end every year
Astesia is gonna be in the streets when word spreads out. I haven't read her records, but well, my guess is that even if it is common knowledge that the stars are fake, I'm sure there's quite a few persons who attempt to study and record them in order to find a meaning or pattern to how the night sky looks. They probably not very appreciated in the scientific community, but they will be there. Felices fiestas!
While I used her for a joke, she's renown for been one of the few individuals in all of Terra who can actually read the skies, so it is not so much that she will get out of a job, she has a monopoly on it. Sadly, Oriopathy is lowering her ability to read the sky. Y prospero año nuevo!
I sort of give up once I realized Christmas was a thing in Terra, but now that I think about it, maybe I should have gone more in detail with the possible sources of Terra. Anyway, hope you enjoy it all the same! Felices fiestas!!
Interesting that while it is the most popular belief in Terra, with countries like Iberia following it's precepts to the core and it's real life counterpart, the Laterano Church does not discuss/contribute (or not that we know of) on ideas like this
@@dokutahblob yup, it seems like Laterano is really focused on an actual ideology rather than telling tales written by multiple people from different places
A joyful advent, and merry Christmas to you all on this Anno Domini 2022, of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. As to how Christmas arrived on Terra, I'd guess, the same way R6 did, through time 🙃
Hm did you know game Xenogears ? (This world is simlar to Terra.becouse some virus some people mutated there in human animal hybrids .MC and his mentor are Chinese they have magic and hi tech )hm but its revealed on later than This world is lost human colony.i willbe not suprised if Terra is this same. This will explain why they have Christmas , why they have these ruins of advanced civilization ,why they speak in Chinese ,Polish and so on
The status of the night sky is so confusing. It’s one of the things that have me suspecting that there are two different writers or writer cliques that are interested in different parts of the world and don’t talk that much. A line Irene says in SN-ST-5 outright says that the moons are visible and seems to imply that the stars are as well. I can’t think of an instance of the stars being obscured being mentioned outside of plot lines that connect Kal’tsit to the abyssal hunters.
Project Red is santa, no, nothing gonna change my mind.
Merry Chrisler
And happy poggers.

I think the same on the first half, second half, haven't thought about it, it does make sense for the name.

Or there is another possibility.
They just wanted to make Christmas in Terra And didn't think about how this holiday could appear on it)
I really hopped that wasn't the case... I really did...

Isekai Santa!?

FWIW they also mention Christmas in the main story. I think it’s a conversation involving Hoshi and Swire.

well, irene seeing the stars doesnt contradict her later words about people not being able to navigate with them
@@nar1768 But why would she bring them up? Would mole people bring them up? I wouldn't be surprised if this element gets quietly dropped.
@@Phos9 On the contrary, I am sure it will be an important plot point later on, too many small mentions for it to be a fluke.
@@Phos9 well, if i remember its because jordi asked her why is it hard to navigate the ocean
