You missed transforming the head (should be rotated so you don't see the face), the waist panel folds up and the two panels on the arms (about elbow length down) fold down to fill the sides. Other than that, pretty good review and some interesting insights into your opinion on the character.
Odeen sounds just like me: I never did like the G1 Magnus. Maybe that is why this one has not made much of an impression on me. I have passed on this one until I seen him tonight on eBay for $150. I went ahead and jumped in. I don't feel excited, I just feel neither happy or sad really. It's more of a why not maybe I will like him than actually I must have. Probably should have walked away, who knows. He looks alright, but I don't care that much.

I think you missed a step in the transformation...the groin piece should have be folded in ALT mode...great review though
