  • All of the religions of the world teach us to pray and meditate. We pray for guidance, protection, healing and gratitude.
"Intone, O My Servant, the verses of God...that the sweetness of thy melody may kindle thine own soul, and attract the hearts of all." -from the sacred writings of the Baha'i Faith
"The Power of Prayer" is a program which introduces the view to Baha'is from diverse backgrounds and regions of the country and explores how they use prayer and service in their daily lives to meet challenges and create unity.
The first story shows how the Heyman family teenagers use prayer to combat peer pressure and resolve conflict.
Next the Moore family demonstrates the importance of using spiritual principles to guide their lives and build a stronger marriage.
The Whitfields demonstrate how prayer has been a family tradition and how the example set by parents is reflected in the character of their children.
The last story focuses on a well known Native American dancer and musician. Kevin Locke shares his path to faith through prayer in the Lakota tradition.
Intermixed with Baha'i principles and statistics, "The Power of Prayer" is a great introduction to basic concepts of the Baha'i Faith.
